Just find a Stalin and let him loose on Asia then our population problems will be fixed.

Get rid of the western world then resources will last longer. Per person we use up more resources mostly non renewable ones than people doing in Africa and Asia. They have a smaller environment footprint. Child birth rates change with better economics so it's possible for population growth to slow down. China has already abandoned enforcing the one child policy.

Parts of the Caribbean have had declining birth rates.

Body policing is very controversial. Just look at the problems they have with allowing women access to abortions and the morning after pill. They already had a wave of negative eugenics in the USA and parts of Europe. People who were subject to it still talk about injustice. No one is really fit to decide who procreates or not.

We might use more resources per person but its sustainable based on our resources vs people. Asia and Africa don't have enough resources to support themselves.

Well here in the United States it will be never. Why it is a human rights and it is against our law.

Birth rates in the United States are below 2.1

We would be in a state of natural population decrease sans immigration, just like most of Europe.

The west doesn't need birth control, China, India and Africa do.

And honestly, if it wasn't for the West, Africa would even be shriveling up more.

China already heavily regulates birth rates. They have since 1978.

India does not regulate birth rates, but strongly encourages mass sterilizations.

Im not saying we do it now but alot of people like to avoid the subject and say it's borderline eugenics but the matter of the fact is the world will eventually become full and peoples "Right to have children" will start to become privileges (i would imagine)

How long do you think we are away from laws being enforced to reduce the climb in population.

I would say 50-100 years.

Take a look at where those resources are coming from. Some of the resources come from these very places.

You know, about 70-90% of agriculture and commodities from Africa alone is being exported to the US? They can't feed themselves because their resources are being taken away. Asia has a hand in every sector and industry in the US. If you take their sources out of the equation, you'll have a crumbled infrastructure.

Yes, let's have Africa and Asia STOP exporting all their resources (including money) to the West (Mainly the US). And see just how sustainable you think it's going to be.

They have plenty of resources. That's why many of the countries on that side of the world have an increasing GDP. Plus they don't eat a whole damn cow every day per person.

War is the optimal solution. We don't need to mange birth rates... we need to mange death rates.

You've got the right idea! Death rates affect the human population more than birth rates, so war would be the solution.

The most effect way to reduce the population would be to start a World War for some dumb reason that everybody will forget afterwards. That would get rid of a lot people. Not that killing adults is superior to killing baby of course. As all life is precious.

By your timeline, humans will most likely be colonizing space so there would never be a problem about running out of space again.

If we implanted a 1 woman 1 child policy, population would decrease by 50% in 50 years. I feel like this is a responsible thing to do. Living conditions would become amazing. But of course humans are greedy and need to have like 5 kids for no reason. Whatever :/

Judging by this year's election process, we've already missed the crucial turning point...

Africans and Asians feel the need for large families. Judging from the census data the rest of the world seems quite content with either being childless or having one or two kids at most.
