Do you feel any guilt when you kill a fly?

For some reason I don't feel so great after I've killed a fly. I don't like killing them.
How do you feel?
I actually used to actively hunt them down when I saw them in my house but I feel weird killing them now.

No. I do feel slight remorse for the non-venemous spiders I've killed though..

I'm the same, never liked killing anything at all. I used to have a problem going to school on rainy days because the path there was full of snails. It was quite the task avoiding stepping on them.

No guilt.

Grew up using 500 gallon boxes of rotting fish + poison to kill off most of the flies in the neighborhood.

Nope. Those things are disgusting and annoying. That reminds me of some people I know.

No, they're nothing but insects to me.

Maybe I don't like it because when I do kill them it's always with my bare hands.

I take the fatalistic rationalization that f I let it out the window, a bird would eat it.
If I swat it, I feel a little guilty that I'm depriving the bird, but hey, either way. It's not like six months in garbage was a life richly spent.
