One of my favorite studio Bones. Known for series such as Eureka Seven, Darker than Black, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, etc. I think this studio should be worth discussing considering the amount of work they've been doing in recent years.

This year alone, they got shows such as Concrete Revolutio, My Hero Academia, Bungou Stray Dogs, Blood Blockade Akagami Shirayuki-hime, Mob Psycho 100, Show By Rock, etc.

The studio has been growing as well with their recent production. A latest article related to Bones was published on CR today: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2016/05/06-1/bones-studio-panel-at-machi-asobi-vol-16-reveals-rapid-production-schedules

What do you think of Bones?

i've watched four of bones' series - two of which are finished and two have just started.
fma brotherhood is one of my favorite series i've seen and i really loved soul eater (except for the ending…really need to read the manga).

i've been loving boku no hero academia (though i was already a borderline fanboy before it aired) and bungou stray dogs is great too.

safe to say my experiences with bones have been very pleasant so far.

A once good studio that has deteriorated into a cadre of pandering to the moe fanbase.

Bones has been knocking it out of the park for awhile now, definitely agree. Shirayuki, BBB (except that atrocious ending), Noragami and Concrete have been my most recent favorites.

The only other studio that rivals it recently would be MAPPA, and to a lesser extent, WIT has been making a comeback with Seraph S2 and now Attack on Trains.

Meanwhile I wait for Madhouse and Shaft's return to glory.

Mixed feelings about Bones. Their shows don't tend to be really bad, and I've watched a lot of them. In general, though, I feel they focus entirely too much on plot complexity, and it doesn't even do the plot any good. They end up jerking it around so much that the whole dynamic of the show can change in an instant, so it feels pointless to even try to follow it. Their characters seem to have a lot of depth, but their shows generally don't do more than scratch the surface just enough to drive the plot forward so I have a hard time getting emotionally invested. Watching their shows, I get the same feeling as when I mindlessly stare into a fire.

This is, of course, a gross generalization, but I feel it applies to at least six of the shows that I've watched. They have put out some really good shows, though. My favorites from the studio are probably Noragami S1, Darker Than Black S1, and Akagami no Shirayukihime.

Speaking of Full Metal Alchemist, didn't Funimation's license of it expired? CR should hop on that.

Bones is definitely among my favorite studios (for pure nostalgia at the very least), but their works as of the last few years have not been very good in my opinion. It all seems to have started with their sequel phase and it has gone downhill from there for me. Darker than Black (the first season), Eureka Seven, and Fullmetal Alchemist are among my absolute favorites. Soul Eater was also very good (terrific if you only consider the animation) along with Xamdou.

However, things like the second seasons of both Darker than Black and Eureka Seven really hurt my hopes with the studio. No.6 was forgettable and didn't have the art style I had come to enjoy from the studio. Though I think Star Driver was the nail in the coffin.

They're just simply not the studio I liked anymore it seems. Blood Blockade Battlefront was okay, but not nearly good enough to make me forget the things in-between it and Fullmetal Alchemist. And no, I did not enjoy Space Dandy.
