Since Donald Trump is the only Republican left running in the primaries... What are we gonna do in California for our primaries? (I'm Independent, but I wanted to know...)

As far as I know, you can still vote for people other than Trump. I don't know what it's like in California, but usually recent ballots will still have names of other former candidates and you can also write in someone else if you want. Trump being the last republican running won't change that. It's just that it's unlikely another person will have enough votes to gain a single delegate. I am curious to see how many anti-Trump votes there will be though... I haven't seen what's it like for a primary to have only one active candidate. I can imagine hundreds, if not thousands of votes going to Cruz or someone else.

Wait a minute, California has open (or is it semi-open?) primaries? I wish we had that in New York.

California has closed primaries. You have to be a member of the party to vote in their primaries. Since I'm Independent, I can't vote in any primaries. Unless the candidate is also registered as "Independent." And most of those are, well... Not the best qualified.

Is there an "Independent" gas station hot dog party? I'm in if there is one.
