I've lived in Utah for most of my life and it's moderately conservative with a loyal opposition from the left.
Though you might say it's part of the state's religious background, which tends to be more apparent in Utah than other right leaning states, there are very few strip clubs, let alone bars, in the densely populated parts of the state.
It might also be noteworthy to consider that a lot of youth become detached from their parent's right-leaning values because of obvious hypocrisy in certain areas. A father claiming to fear God who then abrasively mocks a member of a different religion, a mother who claims to follow the teachings of Christ who then judges and gossips about those around her.
I think you'll also find that it depends on how devoted somebody is. If somebody actively pursues their Christian religion, they wouldn't be caught dead a strip club. If a left-wing man is true to his cause, the only time you'd see him at a strip club would be during a protest to condemn the club for their savage ways.

But her topics are far more interesting than most of the shit we were getting last week. I'd rather read her threads than any of the "whats your hair color" or "what age did you lose your sex at" or "Whats your dog's name". At least she was trying to convey unique thought process instead of wasting precious bytes to post nothing in a thread no one will read.

I thought it was interesting, too. Until it had that near non-sequitur reasoning as to why a certain category of people should be raped.

But like I said, I think she just did it for the temporary lels.

That, mixed with her personal complaints about "all those wrong doctors" "misdiagnosing" her with mental illness, and asking why people with schizophrenia were so "looked down on" in society...
Gosh, the auto-repeated trademarks that baffled all and sundry, the "favorite" codewords she thought we knew, her serial-posting belief that we all read every single one of her posts and was following what was going on in her head ("So, to all my loyal Honey Badgers, as I was saying in my last thread about Rampant Manginism...")...You JUST COULDN'T FIGURE anyone would have suspected such a thing about her, could you?

When we hadn't heard from her in a while, thought one of those "wrong doctors" had finally signed the papers.

I assume the mods didn't like her saying that people deserved to be raped. Seemed like around that time is when she got banned.

Are we even reading the same posts? It is pretty obvious what they banned her for. It was a strange mix of misogyny and basically claiming people and forumers who were against her the specific idea that Swedish women deserve rape are liberal feminists. It was extremely inflammatory.

As fond as I am of labels, it is no joke or exaggeration by most any standards to call Magical just plain misogynistic at this point.

Oooooh, thought there was a thread around here that disappeared.

Was it in that one?

Yikes!

Hmmmm............well, a case certainly could be made that what she was arguing for is a form of "justice", and there certainly are people arguing similar views as part of the "Dark Enlightenment," but I think it was the reveling in suffering (regardless as to whether she thought it justified or not) which transformed her case from one of "justice" to one of "barbarity."

1. You seem to be starting from the conclusion that conservatives are sexist, and working backward from there. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like.

I'm starting from the conclusion that wanting to pay to see women strip is arguably a sexist activity. But I'm unsure whether conservatives favor them more than liberals because some liberals may justify strip clubs because they see it as an intrusion of individual freedoms to eliminate them and some conservatives might want them shut down because they contribute to a sinful lifestyle in their view. I've lived in a red state where even the local Hooter's was shut down because of the ultra conservative mayor (well she was also a woman).

Fair enough. Does the fact that there are male strip clubs affect your opinion at all? Do you believe that it is sexist both ways? Personally, I don't think it's sexist, per se, but I think it encourages people to think of others as objects, and I am not a fan of that kind of mentality.

Sorry. That wasn't directed at you lol. Guess it seems that way when I chop your post to reply.

I meant more that I don't believe that there should be restriction if there isn't anything in the business to cause harm (physically or emotionally) to either the buyers or sellers. If the girls/guys (strippers) are happy, and the consumers are happy, and there isn't anything shady going on in the backgrond, what's the problem? (Rhetorical)

No problem. I agree. Regardless of my personal objections, I cannot make an argument for banning it, for more-or-less the same reasons you just mentioned.

Ban "Stripper managers" and I think that would cover most of the problems.
