Don't repeal the 2ndA, make the adjustment that you can own a gun but you have to take a test to show you know what the hell you're doing with it. How many times have we heard stories of someone getting killed with a gun due to negligence or stupidity?

We do this for driving and people still turn out to be terrible drivers.

Good in theory, just not practical.

Technically you don't need a drivers license to purchase a car. Nor do you need one to drive said car on private property.

but if you're caught driving a car without a license you're going to get in trouble. my idea may not be perfect, but it would help. just because an idea isn't flawless doesn't mean it's not going to help

You can be a good driver and not have a license. License =/= good driver.

I have an idea too. Anyone that is involved in an accident can never drive again. Then only good drivers will remain.

Guns are not the problem. People are. Take away guns and you will see police with inflatable mallets and even more violence since no one can protect themselves. People who think guns are the issue need to think again.
