I'm typically pretty good with table manners. However if I'm eating ice cream I always have to lick the bowl clean.

*tip for keeping elbows off of the table: Rest your forearms on the edge of the table.

I couldn't care less I'm there to eat not to be careful of how I eat it (but always chew with my mouth closed)

I eat like aristocrat since it's always party and has many visitors.

I eat with my mouth closed and wouldn't ever talk with a full mouth - but other than that, unless I'm out somewhere fancy/with people I need to impress, my manners aren't the best

Apparently I drink "wrong". Or handle my glass wrong or something. The persons who told me never cared to elaborate so I'm not sure what it is I'm doing wrong.
The only time table manners were illuminated for me was a primer on "what order to use the cutlery in, chew with your mouth closed, keep your elbows off the table, don't slurp (unless it is considered good manners to)".

Usually when I'm at home I could care less about my table manners.

Doesn't matter, food's already dead so it can't judge.

As a scientist, I haven't really kept them on my radar... I think they've gotten quite a bit worse. It's very easy to descend into slovenliness if you don't keep up your guard; I have OCD and it happened to me too.

I was taught when I was younger to make sure to have proper etiquette when eating at the table. Admittedly, I have some bad habits when I'm around people I know don't care about such things (like elbows on the table). My girlfriend's parents are a bit old-fashioned so I follow all of the core etiquette techniques when I'm eating around them.

- No elbows on the table.
- No mobile phones out (have them turned off or completely silent/no vibration)
- Chewing with your mouth closed.
- Using napkins not as a wipe but a dab against your mouth/face.
- Ask politely when there are multiple dishes to share.
- Passing to the person to the left of me (clockwise position)

Overall, things like that.

Alright, I suppose. I mean I do know common courtesy while eating.

Hmmm in all honesty not really lol. I sit sideways (don't put my legs under the table) for some reason it just feels really weird in all honesty and I sit in every chair like that lol. I eat with my mouth closed, and try my best to not talk while eating but sometimes it just happens since I sometimes get asked questions or expect a reply back so blah. Say 95% of the time I don't talk while eating and always use a knife and fork unless it's finger food.

The keep your mouth shut part is essential so yes I do that but to be honest I normally just use my hand to pick up the food and eat it. When i'm out I normally have a tendency to eat Precisely how I eat when i'm in the house. Other from the peasant way of eating, yeah I think I have good table manners.
