My fellow independents, why don't you identify with any political party?

I'm liberal when it comes to social programs, death penalty and the environment.

I'm conservative when it comes to abortion, state's rights and taxes.

I'd like to see all America's wars ended and free, universal healthcare. Something neither side seems to be offering.

My views may contradict themselves a little but I'm sure all the money we spend on war could be better served in healthcare or infrastructure.

I, like many, have both conservative and liberal values, (I'm my case I'm a gun diva) and I don't vote for the party but for the person running regardless of their party or mine, but whomever I think is most reasonable for the job. I agree with the other users in that politicians lie to get elected and often don't deliver on their promises. The parties are corrupt - so it doesn't matter, just vote for who you think has the best argument w/o getting your hopes up so you won't be disappointed.

Hm..Just kinda of don't believed in politians.. Due to People running for Presidents in the past promised so many thing and once they become a President officially noticed that they ignored the 95% that they promise to deliver?

Now I'm strong believer in Roman Empire way.. After all I'm Marcus Octavius! :p I want to raise taxes and enforce slavery.. so they can build me new Rome! Also all that money will go into my bank! :p

j/k

Hmm.. on abortion part that is the hardest thing for human being to make a choose to end a life or bring it into the world and give up their dream in order to become mother. Those that thoughts about Abortions are the one that accidentally have baby. Those that force themself to have Abortions kill piece of their soul.. Because it something Mother never thought of doing it.. So they tried to forget that it ever happen.

Sadly about the Wars is that its inevitable that we'll alway have countless wars with other countries in order to bring peace or certain agreement.

On Taxes part I think they should raise high taxes on Pots, the one that are legals to sell in serveral of the states. That might be a partial cure for our debts problems..

Sorry if I'm not making sense.. I need to get some sleep.. My bed are calling me haha.

Take care :)

Sciences rules and politics is lame.

I can't listen to political rhetoric these days. I tend to take the more reasoned position, which means I flip flop often when provided a better argument.

Political rhetoric is just a bunch of hogwash.

Both sides are lying so I don't see the point. They all make promises they won't keep. I can't be bothered to pay attention to politics. I got Youtube videos to watch, bro.

1) Politicians are liars.
2) I'm not amused by all the proverbial "my football team is better than yours" shit flinging.
3) Politicians and even voters appear to be more interested in masturbating to their parties than anything else. I turn on the television to see would-be presidents and whatnot who forget that they're supposed to represent more than their parties. Are presidents supposed to lead a whole nation or their political fan club!? I get that our presidents are figure heads, but this is disgusting.
4) Politicians have to align to the most popular and corrupted parties to get anywhere. Rotten.

The political parties are playing a constant game of ping pong with each other. I will agree with whoever presents the most sound idea on a issue. There are some ideas I agree with that are conservative and there are some ideas I agree with that are liberal. I don't like or prefer one party over the other, they are equally annoying.

Politics in the US has turned into a special interest serving clown show with only two completely polarized hypocritical parties running the entire show and both demonizing the other so much that both sides people know instinctively that the other side is to blame with what's wrong with America today.

No matter which group you take... America is going to shit. I am going to bail as soon as possible.

I look at all the candidates for every party this election session... and I think... "Is this were America is at now?"

I'm independent because neither political party represents my views completely. Also, both political parties have systemic corruption. It makes more sense to consider politicians individually than to simply vote along party lines.

I'm independent simply because I have varied views. I'm conservative in some regards, liberal in others. For example, I think partial socialization of the healthcare system is a good idea (e.g. government setting prices for medical procedures so you don't pay $700 for an ultrasound at one hospital and $300 at another). That's quite a left-leaning opinion. However, I also feel like political correctness and this unholy obsession with diversity and multiculturalism is destroying us. That is most certainly a right-leaning position.

My mix of opinions and views defy labeling. Thus, I am independent.

Well, at least you're consistently pro-life. Usually its pro-life but also pro-death penalty. -.-

Because the minute someone says what party they are in, you start judging them.

All congress does is fight, with each side trying to prove the other wrong. Nothing ever gets done because the republicans don't want to listen to the democrats and vice versa.

George Washington warned us about political parties, and here we are...
