I just finished watching some anime episodes on Anime-Planet using Crunchyroll's streaming service, and it was not a pleasant experience.

Your videos tend to play the same commercial three to four times in a row throughout the entire episode I watch. I have just watched the same Olive Garden commercial approximately 20 times now. Sure, that gets on my nerves, but I've sadly come to expect that. Still, that's not my REAL problem.

The real problem is that I'm getting the video and audio from the repeating commercial PLUS the audio of a second commercial playing over that. Sometimes the audio of that second commercial plays again with a delay so that I'm hearing THREE commercials at the same time. Sometimes, if I'm really lucky, the commercial's audio continues to play after the break, so that I hear it in the episode that I'm watching. I was frustrated, as you can imagine.

If this aids you further, the second commercial's audio is always a KFC commercial. Always. The dialogue varies from time to time, but the brand remains the same.

I don't know if this issue happens only on Anime-Planet, or if it carries over to watching anime the Cruncyroll site itself. I haven't tried that yet.

I do know that I started experiencing this phenomenon recently-- sometime within the past two weeks. I can't say exactly when it began because Anime-Planet feeds are undergoing maintenance and I can't give an exact date.

I am using Chrome on a Windows 7 computer.

considering someone already made a similar complaint about commercials on January 26 (months ago) and got no official response yet, it's probably safe to assume that the CR staff simply does not care. you're not a paying customer so they don't care if the service is terrible for you. sorry for being blunt. if you're lucky, a mod might respond, but they don't have much power over how CR handles the ads.

I kind of figured that was the case. I thought it couldn't hurt to make some noise about it, though.

I didn't see the January post, so thanks for notifying me about that. As I stated before, this audio thing JUST started happening to me.

If you don't mind, do you have any suggestions of how I should handle this? The "Help Desk" recommended the forums, so that's why I posted here.

this seems like a bug, and in that case, only the staff would be able to actually help.
maybe try another browser to see if it helps...?
