Welcome to the NHK

This was intentional.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu). Its animation is rather (okay, extremely) dated. One of these days I really ought to finish watching it, but it's over 100 episodes...

Gonna assume you're calling the art dated because LOTGH still looks good to this day.

Macross Delta, trying so hard to force myself to watch it. Aside from the singing, newer art style with a happy go lucky cute style drawn girl in many modern anime then you see the ugly Zentradi men like its 1982 thrown in....just don't go together.

Not something that really belongs in a horrible animation thread. Also i'm gonna assume this is intentional because they've been throwing nostalgia bombs at us here and there.

Konosuba is a wonderful comedy, and the character designs are pretty good. But the animation quality and consistency are just awful.

If that's true than it would be apparent rather often rather than rarely.

Couldn't find an appropriate GIF, but while the writing in Trigun is pretty timeless.

It hasn't aged too well in the art department.

Okay now this is just getting ridiculous..

I think of scenes like this every time someone pines for hand-drawn mechs instead of CGI.

To be fair, Your Oldness, every now and then, the hand-drawn days gave us a VOTOMS or a Dragonar instead of a budget-starved original Gundam.

^ This
As for one i will add Galaxy Express 999 animation is absolutely horrendous but it somehow doesn't matter.
It definitely hasn't aged well however.

That Dragonar OP was just so hype though... my god.

I'd probably say Grimgar. I love the character dynamic and development, along with that home-y feel it has, but the action scenes are goofily edited and directed.

I'm just going to say that Slayers was more of the design of the show. Not that it was the best animation. But it was also designed with these quirks in mind.

It pretty much evoked the manga

And we are talking about 1995 anime here. Anime has improved dramatically since then.

Overruled. I have not read the manga. Now I did forget how old it was.
