ok, so long long ago I watched the first few episodes of an anime. In the first few it seems to bounce around a bit between stories. there is some serum/procedure that turns people in to powerful beings, downside is its actually turning them in to vampires. the serum only works on one in thousands, as stated by a creepy scientist guy. part of the story follows a guy it succeeded on how is kind of a homeless guy that seemed to be fighting against what he was. I seem to remember it bouncing between a feudal esque time and a "sci-fi Tokyo" time. animation style was similar to ghost in the shell I seem to recall, was not afraid to be bloody though

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance!

Kurozuka?

Slight shot in the dark, I only saw a bit of it myself a couple years ago.

I don't know what show that is, but I've moved the thread over to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum. Maybe others can confirm if it's likely to be Kurozuka, or if there are other good possibilities.

After a quick search on the internet, and confirming that it isn't Karas or Kemonozume, I think it's definitely Kurozuka.
