It's very normal.

To be honest, the trusting them with your life part really worries me. Genuine emotions in the internet kind of.. is lacking. A lot of the time (not all of the time mind me), people say they really care about internet friends, but they don't really.

Go IRL and make some friends.

Yes you can develope a relationship with several people on the internet which involves trusting them. Just don't be to surprised when they disappear suddenly. I believe that relationships over the internet need a degree of lively interaction to anchor them. Oh and trusting them with your life...I wouldn't go that far. Trust can go only so far by just reading words on a screen.

I think it's pretty normal honestly. I wouldn't take too much offense from it. A lot of times a person's real life can take over and take up all of their time. I've drifted away from a lot of online friends over the years, but never purposefully. It's usually an outside force taking over my real life, and leaving me little time for my internet life. Hell, I lived in a house WITHOUT internet at one point for about two years .
