orcblood, please don't be trying to start something with that abuser stance. nanikore2, please don't encourage it by continuing the conversation.

All, please stay on topic.

I consider them a "girl" if I could have a normal, casual conversation with them. Once they seem old enough to reasonably have a child and take care of it, then they're a woman

Depends, usually someone I don't know, 'girl' is more casual to someone I know that doesn't mind, and 'woman' is more polite and formal, I guess. Most people I know don't care to be called "girl" including myself as its not used condescendingly. (Even if it was we just shrug it off)

I use them both interchangeably, the seeds of an adult lay within a child and the seeds of a child lay within an adult.

To me, what separates the girls from the women is their maturity, their beauty, and their personality. If a girl just has beauty, they're just girls and nothing more. A woman has maturity and has beauty inside and outside of themselves.

For the most part I agree with what I was taught in "health" class.

0-12 years old: Girl
13-17 years old: Young Woman
18-100+: Woman

That's by first impression, once I talk to them I see if there's an exception to the rule...

I know a 23 yr old (cousin)who acts like a 5 yr old girl and a 10 yr old (cousin) that seems in her 30s when it comes to intelligence and common sense.

I would think its just a matter of a phrase of words just about the Gender and how its worded like oh she`s such a sweet girl because it might be just me but oh she`s such a nice woman doesnt phrase right but i`m just guessing here lol

Isn't it relative? I never really considered it before, but I think that I refer to those roughly my age or younger as 'girls' and those significantly older as 'women'.

It depends on how I feel about them. I largely refer to young females (specifically 15 and below) as "girls," but I also use "girl" to denote casual and friendly relationships. "Girl" may be an expression of disdain towards significant immaturity. "Woman" is something I like to correlate with mental maturity, notable authority, and admiration. Also, I reserve both for satire and sarcasm.

When they act like women and not like girls. Same with boys and men, for that matter.

In my eyes, a 30-year-old can still be a boy or a girl if they´re not acting like grown ups. By that, I mean taking responsibility, being independent and just mature in your responses to other people.

I guess I consider the people on MTV with their fancy cars their dads bought them boys and girls, not women and men.

You'd most probably still be shopping in the women's section instead of the juniors'
