Should I stay or should I go.?
Posted 5/21/16 , edited 5/21/16
'hey guys!

My billing cycle date is coming up in a couple of days and I'm struggling with deciding whether I want to stay on or not. I love cr and the cr community, but lately I've been feeling under the weather so-to-speak and,

more importantly,

I have a very tight budget. :(

I know there is always the option of canceling my Premium and staying as a normal member,

..it's just that I hate the commercials. >.<

Really, I think if I wish to cancel my premium I should just delete altogether,

and to be honest I watch more of funi's content these days.

Its not like I want to go, its actually something I've been agonizing over these past few days.

I may just stay on , lol

Love all of you guys, and if I go I'll miss playing forum games and our chats, lorreen esp.

That's it, lol. Tell me your thoughts with what I should do, I have until tomorrow!

If you love the community so much you could just use this site for social interaction as a normal member and keep watching Funimation's content, that's what I do.

EDIT: I pressed post too quickly...

That way you get the best of both.

I would keep using the forums at least, sounds like you'd regret giving it up altogether. The community is fun.

As for the subscription, I guess it be whether it be worth it or not to keep it. You may need the money more for other things.

When it comes to money, especially since you mentioned your tight budget, make sure your typical income is at least equal to your expenses. Otherwise the cycle of debt may begin.

That aside, all I can offer at this point is to say make sure your hobbies and passions still exist if money is scarce. The CR Premium price of around $6.95 monthly isn't that much. If you use CR enough to justify that price, I suggest instead of going out to eat or doing takeout, save that to put it towards CR.

In regards to Ad-Blocker

For general web browsing, I definitely recommend it.

For certain streamers/web sites I want to support, I disable it. My reasoning is everyone likes to think on the individual level. "If it takes away ads for me, I'll do it." Now if everyone does this (and likely already does), sites will begin to implement other and likely even more intrusive ways to get revenue.

Bottom-line: Do what you want, but I suggest disabling ad-block for streamers and sites you want to support. Of course for CR, I love CR enough to choose to support them through premium membership.

I've lost count of the times I've cancelled my account, thinking my £5 could be best spent elsewhere but I always end up coming back again because at the end of the day you actually get a shed load for the fee. Anime, manga and drama, that's brilliant. I could spend £5 on 2 takeaway coffees. I know which I'd rather have.

Don't go Yume!

If you really like it here, better to stay if anything you could stay as a normal member on the forums and when you get a little bit bigger budget get premium again. :)
If anything else, try to make a count, maybe you can still find that 6.95 in your budget, just doesn't show up. Belive me, some times you can find a lot of money, just have to replan the budget (maybe cut off on the not so necessary items).

Are you asking us because you know we're biased?
I don't see how ending subscription and leaving the profile ready for when you feel like using it again isn't an option.
