If you were a doctor, would you inspect a patient and just to mess with them say stuff like "uh-oh" or "yikes".
The same goes for any time people are relying on you for something
For example if I was an elevator attendant I would wait until a bunch of people were on board and go "uh-oh. That's not good. Just kidding"
If someone asks you how they look you could put your hands over your mouth and look all concerned like "oh my gosh!"

I think it's pretty harmless to scare people just a teensy bit. Makes for a good story for them to tell. I get a laugh and they get a story and maybe even a laugh for themselves.
Would you do stuff like this?
Can you start doing this?

If I'm in a professional position like that then no. Although I would totally do that to my friends.

Only if they were a close friend or someone who could take a joke. You would not believe how many people cannot take a joke. You would put yourself at serious professional risk.

If you mean something like working in a zoo and taking people to an empty enclosure and then asking where the tiger was, then yes.

Pretty much this, if its a doctor nowadays you run the risk of someone suing for emotional trauma or some other stupid thing.

I mean there's a certain level of professionalism I'd hope to expect from someone who went to medical school.

Otherwise, eh whatever.

I would, but as someone has mentioned before, people these days cannot take a joke. So maybe with close friends or family I would.

One time I was on the subway, heard the driver announce:
"Passengers on the platform, please stand away from the yellow line."
(doors close)
"Please stand away from the yellow line."
(train pulls out)
"...Whoops!"

Everyone naturally turned and looked.

If I could suddenly go from being a fast-food cashier to a doctor, OH-KAY. I don't care what I do.

But I think that sort of fun-loving, joking manner should be done to entertain the little kiddie-patients.

If the people know you yes, if not then I wouldn't risk being sued.
