Well I think if teachers go over the parts of history in different lessons then students get to divide what they want to learn it wouldn't be that bad because people are interested in different things. If they go over the holocaust and they know what happened it would be ok
Well I agree somethings one should be able to choose, but atleast learn the "basic's" even if some would be forgotten after a while.
So that atleast those who view things differently get to know what one should know and not just say "I don't won't to learn science since it ruins my picture of god or my faith in general"....like wtf? or other reasons they will have to not know about atoms, galaxy, the past and much more of like what hitler did and who did what how it started to how it ended.

I would love if one could choose what hobby or main thing you want to do either being math/programming etc.

Yes I agree that students should learn the " basics" but only in history because that is the subject that contextualises how we have become what we are today eg- with wars and other shit. But when it comes to science, which is a compulsory lesson that you have to take for your GCES's and learn since year 1 here in the UK, it is complete ballshit that people get offended that science out rules there religion because it has proof unlike religions do.

Because everything written on the internet is true.

Goddammit guys, check your sources before posting shit. Can we actually support this "news article" with a reliable source? No other website reports this, other than this blog.

Can we actually make this a forum rule, where you have to check your sources before posting?

I actually suggested having mods banned certain sources (For example, Stormfront and Infowars.) but everyone said "Free speech!"

Heh, I remember looking at an entire shelf of books on the subject just trying to decide which title seemed the most interesting. I guess some schools can't afford so many books.

>"Free Speech"

lol. Free speech and citing shit sources are two different things. If you're going to post something as news, use reliable news sources.

This is further proof this forum is full of people with sense of doubt and higher thinking functions. Literally ten seconds looking at this sight would show its not a good source of info.

Jews suffer a mere four years of hell. They get an entire damn lesson of history devoted to them.

My people ( First Nations) suffered a couple hundred years of hell and the loss of their homeland..And we're barely worth a few paragraphs in a North American history lesson.

And I am supposed to be angry at the rumour of the Holocaust being dropped from History books..Sorry I am disgusted at what the Third Reich did to it's Jewish population but I am more angry with the lack of history concerning my people. But that would of course paint the British the French, the Dutch, and to a lesser extant the Spanish in a bad light..and we can't have that now can we?

Well you could be be pissed about this (unsubstantiated) rumor and be pissed about the lack of history taught about First Nations. One reaction does not preclude the other. I do understand where you are coming from though. I feel it is unfair how much we cover Europe, but gloss over Native American history in the US.

like nearly nothing... even then much can't be reliable in somethings.
but there are still a topic to be had about different schools or programs that do leave important stuff out or skip over history people only know half of creating people who would join such groupes and do or prevent the truth from being... true.
To slavery, wars, how things came to be and how things are build up its not all "oh wait my ancestors created all this!! I am a part of that and this"

A blog is blatantly not a reliable news source.

sure less so but, they can have some interesting points still to be had.
anyway since I have seen and heard about such things before it doesn't really change there are most likely something like it out there.
and I guess I should go back half a year since then some programs was started in america then later britan for sort of things like these just because people was "triggerd" by some content either of the past etc.
+ all these gender studies etc that isn't really helping with some activist/cult/groupes starting some BS stuff making education even worse.

Even though Richard Dawkins isn't the best teacher but atleast it shows something similar to few things this topic is "about".

Ranwolf is pretty racist, but whatever. Not all whites refuse to aknowledge the atrocities against Native Americans. Hell, we live in a day and age where we can't even name a team "Redskins" cause of the racial connotations.

That being said....do Christians believe in Mohammed as a prophet? I don't usually know this, but David Koresh considered himself a profit while most of us with disagree with his BS. Just saying.

Nope Christians do not believe Mohammed was a prophet. There might be a handful that do (I've never met any), but the general consensus would be no.

Ah, thank you Cton. I wasn't sure.

To be more specific, and pedantic, The three Abrahamic religions generally believe everything from the previous one. The Jews were first, then Christians who consider the Jewish bible to be the "Old Testament", and Islam expands on Christianity except for, depending who you ask, discounting Christ being god (they believe he was a really cool prophet like Moses).

I thought so, but I don't see how it is different than if you perceived it as a bastardization of your religion. Example, David Koresh in Waco had the Branch Davidians, and they were Christians.

I tried searching for the story, but I can't find it on any reputable news site. Are you sure it is reputable?

Also, Oct 2015 is when the story was last edited, so it is a bit late.

Searched for a source. Can't find anything. Most likely it's click bait.
