My husband just found this link:
https://techwhack.com/the-devil-is-a-part-timer-season-2/

Not well written, and it's not a source I know, but the end of the article contains this:

in a press release last week, director Naoto Hosoda finally unveiled season 2.

So, I'm cautiously excited.I'd like to see it confirmed by a source I know and trust, though.

It really sucks that there isn't a second season...maybe the anime hasn't gotten enough interest or hype for it? I honestly thought it was a weird anime at first, but then I started laughing and smiling like an idiot. I really think this anime deserves a second season, I finished the anime last year and I'm re-watching it now!

I've noticed stuff i watched produced by White Fox only ever has a single season of 12 or 25 epidodes and rarely pick up another season of it.

i love White fox to death as some of my favorite anime of all time are produced by that studio, but once the season ends, its over.

of course they have Stein;gate 0 on the way and i REALLY hope a Re:Zero season 2 is also picked up in the future

So sad that this STILL doesn't have a next season >_< One of the best animes for comedy and action.
However, there ARE rumors of it being continued in 2018. Even some of the voice actors of the show want it back!

As much as it gets hate tossed on it, Sword Art Online is one of the most popular animes of the decade. Despite all that, audiences have been clamoring for a 3rd Season ever since the second season ended. Despite all the hints & the rumors churned out by the internet, Season Three of Sword Art Online is starting to be compared a bit to the fabled Half Life 3 that's supposedly been in development for a decade now.

When you get down to it, though, there are usually 3 main reasons for aimed to just suddenly stop:

1. Money: The biggest killer of any & all anime is budgeting issues. Shows like Dragon Ball Z & Dragon Ball Super have built up huge audiences, so they can justify their budgets, but some others just can't engender enough support or get enough ratings to get the financial backing they need.

2. Creative Differences: While this one is certainly not limited to anime; for instance, check out the movie vs the Stephen King version of The Lawnmower Man, manga creators & anime producers have been known to have some real knock-down, drag-out fights over the property, the vision of the series, & so on.

3. The Manga version stopped or ended: The biggest example of this is Full Metal Alchemist & Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. The anime of FMA got caught up so fast to the manga, that the decision was ultimately made to continue the anime on its own, despite the fact that the manga was still being written. While this was eventually rectified with FMA Brotherhood, it in essence created two different timelines for the series. If FMA hadn't been as super popular as it was, the entire series might have gone on semi-permanent hiatus, like Bleach did. In fact, the entire Bount arc in Bleach existed just to let the manga get far enough ahead again to prevent what eventually happened, anyway.

So, there you go...

This is one of my favorites now. The anime was so good I'm tempted to read the manga but i'm afraid it won't do the story justice when comparing the 2.

I am very happy that this in CR now, becuase for the longest time this show didn't have a lot of noise in the net.

This was easily my favorite when it first came out back in Spring 2013 and hoped the story continued since he still is stuck in Japan
