It's been over 4 years (almost 50 months) since the Anime ended and the Manga has continued since then. We were left to speculate as to the reasons for its cancellation and some thought it was due to then low ratings and others blamed the way the Anime tailed the Manga so closely without taking breaks. They believed that the studio was simply giving Kubo time to create more source material to avoid the need for filler. In the past 4 years we have received no official statements regarding the return of the Anime unless you count the series' character designer, Masashi Kudo, stating that it is "still a possibility," which is a very vague statement that only creates more confusion. I must address those who believed the Anime was giving the Manga some space to avoid filler by using the facts. We know the Manga has been in its final arc these last four years, that its sales have grown, and that it has produced enough content that even if the Anime continued today it seems unlikely that it would catch up to the Manga before it ended. Knowing this, what are we supposed to believe is holding the series back?

For those who are unsure whether there is enough demand to justify a continuation I'd like to direct your attention to the numerous petitions and forum topics advocating a continuation that have been directed at Kubo by fans. For so many fans to continue holding onto hope that a series that ended over 4 years ago will continue is remarkable.

The Anime ended 4 years ago. In that time there have been almost 200 chapters that haven't been adapted. Given that an average episode adapts approximately 2 chapters that means that it would take almost 2 years to catch up to where the Manga is right now. This isn't even considering the fact that after those 2 years there would be about 100 new chapters to work with. Knowing this, it would take more than 3 years for the Anime to catch up if it started and that's a modest estimate. It seems unlikely that the Manga will continue past 2019 as it's already in the middle of its final story arc. Kubo has already been given a ton of "breathing room" so it's easy to doubt that that's the reason.

I get that Wikipedia isn't exactly a reliable source but I couldn't help getting excited upon seeing this. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any official sources confirming it.

Its *possible* from what I have read that author and team are focused on getting this *final* arc done. Perhaps the best way for them to return to the anime is if everything is done and then they can plan and cost things out better than if its a continuing arc. It has a following and brand so I would be surprised if they don't go back to the anime at some point or at least do a movie that wraps things up.

I'd rather see the anime return than see a live-action film. Those have flopped way to many times to think things will be different this time.

Maybe a live action will provide extra time to develop a "next generation" of Bleach? Maybe Kubo will go the way of Masashi Kishimoto and pass the spotlight onto the kids? I can foresee Boruto being around for a while. So why not spend years following the Kurosaki lineage as well?

Fingers crossed for an animation studio to pick up Bleach, and animate the last arc. I'm not sure if Kubo would even make a new generation for Bleach, considering he doesn't seem to hold the same passion he had for Bleach nowadays.

I doubt that bleach will start again, they ended it for good, they continued the manga for the people who still crave the story, because honestly, it was an amazing story, they ended the anime forever. if they continue bleach, it's gonna be different, they are gonna have Ichigo and all the main characters in it but many new ones will be in it, such us Ichigo's son, id like to see that.

I doubt it. We were so close to the end, even though the manga was cut short actually.

So I kinda doubt they will animate the last bit
