ONLY TRUE MEN CRY DURING MOVIES THAT ARE MEANT TO MAKE YOU CRY!
Anyway I don't think there are any movies that have made me cry in a theatre. Not because I was holding them back, because i haven't watched any movies worthy of tears. Mostly because if i wanna watch a tearjerker I'll just watch it on my computer. Too many variables that might end up ruining the entire experience. Annoying children, loud as heck people, those damn people who sit RIGHT in front of you so you can't prop your dang feet up. I'll gladly cry into my pillows while laying down on my bed rather than deal with any chance of dealing with those things. I can't name any movies I've cried to on the top of my head. I'll edit this post if i ever remember (which i doubt cause my memory is crap.)

in other words, movies aren't worth crying over.
yeah, even though something if it was real some of it should make you sad or feel something (but even though not all can feel through just color and sound then a phyical way or something that is close or enables you as being there or a part of like a solution/problem etc)

if you are going to be like that then Men cry like how a man should cry not in tears but a single drop that holds the greatest meaning of all.

Okay, just off the subject, is that supposed to put the new Snagglepuss avatar in context?

("Huhuh, he's like the first gay Hanna-Barbera character..." No, he's Bert Lahr...Please tell me you got the "cowardly lion" joke, and "But he's pink!" is just plain desperate. Go to your library and watch an old movie sometime.
It's a particular sticky-point with me, and if you are going for the lame CN-era gag, the Lahr/burlesque fan in me will give you what-for. And a what-five, six and seven. And a 98.6, even.)

NO. There is no shame in crying.

I do cry at a few movies, but it is weird, because I don't even cry when people I love die. Even when I really feel like I want to. I also rarely cry at anything...pain...sadness....etc.

I also cry at church. I'm thankful for it.

Crying is a gift.

I think the reason men are not supposed to cry is because they are supposed to be pillars of strength for their family. They sometimes have to be the only strong one. And, I don't see anything wrong with that or traditional gender roles. I just think that when men forget why they are staying strong, and it becomes more about being a man, and less about showing strength for others, there are problems. Sometimes your family needs to see you cry, too.

Not in a movie theatre but a memorable tearjerk of a scene that comes to mind is the ending on the first Ip man movie.

I might have a problem with crying in public, which is odd because I'm always telling people its ok to show your emotions (all the One Piece i've watched rubbing off) but for some reason when people are around i just cant show too much emotion. This bothers me because I like to be an example to the stuff i preach.

I actually saw the Hodor epsisode of GoT with my sister and though she cried i didnt. Then I saw it again by myself and cried like a baby.

Probably because of how I was raised (strong latin men dont cry etc) but this needs to stop. Bet alot of my stress and heart problems would be lessened if i could just stop being such a hard ass lol Also dont want kids thinking its cool to be stoic all the time, cuz its not, its boring haha

i could cry easily.. not sure if it's because my mind infers sadness from other matters, sadness (real or acting) is sadness to me and it doesn't matter what the context is

Never cried at the movies, but I've laughed at inappropriate moments a few times which usually results in a hard pinch from the old lady.

Agreed. There are times to be stoic, and times to show what's in your heart.

No 'ffense, just as long as you picked him for the Funny, and not any ulterior/deconstructionist symbols.
Things have been a bit dicey for classic 'toon fans, after an entire generation grew up believing Cartoon Network's anti-HB propaganda in the 00's.

Precious made me cry like a bitch. But I was the only person in the theatre. San Andreas pulled a low blow and took my feels but the plus side was everyone else was crying too.
