Mahoujin Guru Guru
Was one of the first anime I saw as a kid. Very cute and funny at times.
They are going to do a remake too this summer:

I watch One Piece with my daughter. She also watches Pretty Cure.

When she was really young she loved Totoro.

My kids have been watching anime since they've been able to read subtitles! They've never been a fan of the cutesy type anime and have enjoyed all of the popular sports animes (Kuroko no Basuke, Haikyuu!!, Free!, Yowapeda, Daiya no Ace, even Yuri!!! on Ice).

If you're looking for an anime just to keep them busy, not much substance or anything, I would go with Glitter Force.
Studio Ghibli is always nice too. Ponyo was my very first anime. :P
Inuyasha is pretty cool too. When I was about 10 I discovered it and was hooked.

But for real the best anime you can show kids is FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST

I mean that's where I got my name and i'm pretty much the coolest person in the world so you wanna go with that

I guess it depends on the age of the kids, but you can't go wrong with Studio Ghibli films....in my opinion anyways.

If any of you have young kids don't let them watch SAO,
For a younger boy I figure anything with alot of motion and color that lacks alot of maturity like One Piece.
