Simple question, what's the longest show you've ever started watching late into it's run, anime or otherwise. How long was the show, Was the show already finished when you started, and if it was still going how many episodes behind were you when you started. For me the latest i've ever jumped into a tv show was "Breaking Bad" (62 episode already finished) and anime Yu Yu Hakusho (112 episodes already finished)

i was 700 ep. behind and I'M CATCHING UP. at the very end of thriller bark, ep. 400 or something

non-anime: LOST -- it was finished when i started watching. so, i was about 120 episodes behind.

I used to watch X-Files off and on when I was younger, due to school and everything. So I missed some episodes. Later on, when the show ended, I watched all the seasons in a month. Even the behind the scenes and special episodes.

As for anime: I had seen Ashita no Joe a long time ago, but didn't remember it much as the years went by. So I rewatched it again about a year ago. Finished all 79 episodes in less than a month.

It's very good, but it's also really old. I've tried recommending it to those who were younger than me, and it didn't really appeal to them much. If you're into the classics you might appreciate it. Hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Well when you get used to berserker and just the older drawn disney movies in general its okey atleast they take their time with scenes making them more valueable.
And there was these 2.

Hunter x Hunter, Naruto Shippuden (I rewatched the entire series with my little sister cuz she was trying to catch up. This was a few months ago and we did caught up in like a month), and the original Yugioh series lol

I started the original Naruto after Shippuden had already started.
One Piece I started and I didn't have to take a break until the timeskip.
Gintama was at like 120 or 150 episodes.

If you count shows that had finished their runs then:
Dragonball and Dragonball Z
Bleach
Hajime no Ippo
The original HunterXHunter

Also non-Anime:
Arrested Development
South Park (started like 3 years ago)
Family Guy (same as South Park)
Grey's Anatomy (watched like 6 seasons 3-4 years ago)
The Office (U.S.)
