My friends bf as a waifu and his gf is fine with it but she also as a husbando so it balances out I guess.

I don't know. I guess it wouldn't matter as long as they don't have an unhealthy obsession with said "waifu/husbando" and their significant other is okay with it.

This is coming from someone who has never had a girlfriend and doesn't have a waifu.

If you can't have a threesome, you are in the clear.

Couldn't satisfy her sexual "needs" so went straight for waifu.

Or couldn't take such a messy job anymore.

It's the same as a celeb crush so I don't think it has much to do with it.

Well being the very very shy person I am, having a waifu is much easier.

It's possible. Just hard to find people that are accepting.

The thing is, since Waifus's are not objectively real, it can be seen as not being cheating since they are not "real".

It's similar to saying, "I love (the game) Monopoly". You love Monopoly and play Monopoly, but you aren't going to cheat on your wife with Monopoly, so she can't really hate you loving it. Replace Monopoly with a family member and it's the same thing.

If someone can't deal with them not being the only thing that you love, then you might want to think of going out with someone else.
