I just got an e-mail from CR saying they are working on an update for manga app, just like what they did with anime app. They have no timeframe as to when they will get it up and running. They will get in touch with us "soon". I did ask them to inform us when they have an update ready so we can sign into our manga app(s). I know this is not exactly what all of you wanted to know but having a bit of news is better than no news, methinks! :)
I will continue to keep all of you posted as soon as I heard anything.

They are working on Manga App as of now and will let me know as soon as it is being fixed. In other words, they REALLY do not know when it will be done.

Hang in there, please.

I will update all of you on this forum as soon as I know/hear from them.

I am greatful that CR is talking to you. I am troubled that there has been no public statement from CR clarifying this issue. My OPINION is that there will be no solution until after the release of IOS 10 which is scheduled for Sep. 13.
When half of the service that are paying for vanishes for 4 months I would think that a responsive company would respond.

It's not like I'm asking for half my Premium fee back.

I gave up on the manga app because of this, I thought it was just me. They haven't fixed serious problems with the anime app for over two years or even responded on most issues, do not expect any fixes.

Manga app does not work on my iPad or iPhone as well. It's frustrating because it used to work once upon a time. I can get into the computer side of things, but I don't want to carry around my laptop to read what I'm paying for. Seeing this forum with others have similar issues.

I would recommend hammering the iOS app with one star reviews until this issue gets fixed.

I was dreaming that IOS 10 might fix this long standing issue, but sadly, my IPAD only gained about half a second of log on before it quits.

obiwansmith suggested leaving bad reviews at the APP store, while I don't suggest this, It might get some kind of response from CR. As any manga or anime demonstrates a public apology goes a long way in healing insult like not admitting there is a problem.

iOS 10 didn't fix this for me either. Ironically it's crunchroll's paying customers that this hurts. I would have thought that surely we bring the site more money than the free crowd.

At any rate I think it's pretty apparent that this is a very low priority for them if it is one at all. I don't know if that's because they laid off the team that was working on the app or because its just mismanaged, but in any event, I wouldn't expect an update to fix this. It's been 3 months and we don't even have an acknowledgement that there is a problem.

We are now in to October, IOS 10 is released, and still CR has not fixed the problem that was reported in May. I do not know the numbers effected, but the Manga App is still unusable. We are still paying for it. That is a definition of "fraud". Still CR is NOT talking to those of us complaining about the issue. If you read anything from CR there seems to be no problem. I called a couple of months ago and was told that the problem was on Apple's end. That now seems like a lie. There are a lot of Manga readers out there that have met Apples guidelines and work very well, some much better that CR's ever did. If they can do it why can't CR? One possibility might be that CR has partnered with Funamation for more Anime and is reducing or eliminating Manga. The paying customer must be told or it is the same a stealing our money.
Any junior college student with a knowledge of Swift should be able to put out a Manga App from scratch in a month or less, and the another month for Apple to approve it.

Communicate with us. Don't take our money for services that you are not delivering.

Just wanted to chime in, very disappointed in CR for not addressing the problem sooner. I can't remember the last time the manga app worked on IOS, but you'd think they'd be able to roll back to a previous build. Customer service and communication are lacking, an unfortunate side effect of CR seemingly growing too big, too fast (?).

My guess is that they wanted to do a refresh similar to the flagship app, but technical problems/licensing issues are holding it up. But that's all we're left to do: speculate.

The app for anime got an update for iOS 10 compatibilty, stability improvement and bug fixing. Still nothing for the manga app.

23 MORE days and counting. Aki and all others; we are still waiting. Your email was , at least, a private admission that there is a problem and I thank you for it. CR on the other hand still has not admitted to a problem in public. It makes me wonder what percent of the Manga readers experience this issue, or even how many Manga readers are trying to use their iPads to access CR?

Still waiting and getting tired of it,
