Not a professional, but I do cook dinner for several hundred people a week. Mostly learned from experimentation, tips from my mom, watching cooking shows, reading cookbooks, that kind of thing.

(And a lot of testing food out on myself. Yeah, a lot of it was.. uh.. less than good as I tried to get better, but I still randomly say "I like this thing.. and that thing.. I bet they'd taste good together" to figure out new dishes)

Yes, I cook well.
Made a meatloaf for dinner, actually.
Had it with asparagus and rice.

Not good at all.
Being born male my father would not allow me in the kitchen as a child.
He now regrets that decision.

I'm pretty good at cooking, I like to cook & I know my way around the kitchen.
My mom taught me to cook first, but I also learned it myself by trying some recipes.
I cook mostly Asian food that is simple to make but delicious nonetheless:
Japanese: curry, tempura, tamagoyaki, omurice, karaage, gyudon, tonkatsu, okonomiyaki, etc
Korean: bibimbap, bulgogi, soondubu jjigae, dakganjeong, bokkeumbap, japchae, pajeon, etc
Indonesian: rendang, opor, semur, soto, nasi goreng, mie goreng, capcay, sate, etc.
Thai: green papaya salad, Thai curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, tom yum goong, pad prik king, etc
Vietnamese: pho & banh mi

I can make just about anything I have a receipt for. It just might take a few time to adjust cooking time to work on the appliances I have.
