So honestly, ever since Hulu started offering a commercial-free option, it has been my favorite source of streaming anime.
Well for anyone who feels the same, it may be super binge time. When browsing thru my queue and most watched lists, I've seen the "Exclamation point of death" appear on roughly 75% of my anime. Haven't taken the time to cross-reference how many of these are shows available on CR. (Off hand, pretty sure Amagami SS/+ and Kimikiss: Pure Rouge aren't, so go watch some of the best romance anime ever made quick if you haven't!)

In related news, I'm cancelling my Hulu subscription.

WHAT?! Really?! They were becoming my main source for anime since CR was nothing but disappointment.

I generally don't use Hulu for anime, except as a good excuse not to get Funimation.com. (Darn, and I still haven't finished Assassination Classroom S1!)
We've known that Funi and MB were going to pull out of Hulu for a while now, now that there's a market for streaming, and if anime leaving Hulu is literally the only reason you're canceling, that's crazy, and if anime was the only reason you got Hulu in the first place, that's clinically INSANE.

In subscription services, the mantra should be "The right tool for the right job":
I wouldn't expect to find movies on Hulu--they don't HAVE any, except for the Criterion collection, and a few that show up at random--but if they sell TV, I use Hulu to get my dose of classic 70's/80's reruns, and whatever current show some poor victim tells me I should be watching.
If I want movies, I look at Netflix, but I don't expect to find anime there. (Except for Seven Deadly Sins, that's addictive.)
And if I want anime, I look at Crunchyroll, since any series that Funi bought, they'll be sending to Netflix anyway.

It's a hard time for subscription viewers, as what was once a feast is now turning into a dumpster-dive. But that doesn't mean we still can't be connoisseurs.

The percentage of shows is a quick estimate, and may be related to my particular taste. You usually have to click on the shows in your queue before the exclamation points show up. So hopefully you don't lose too many favorites, but it's a good idea to check on any you were planning to watch.

Coincidentally, I cancelled my subscription to Hulu about two months back. Crunchyroll, FUNimation, and Amazon have all the shows I wanted this season. Hulu didn't.

I for one solely subscribed to Hulu for One Punch Man, K and Gundam, but I'm not sure how that's considered insane. I just really wanted to watch those shows on a decent player, legally, and in a timely manner. I don't view those reasons as insane. I just have a different sense of value compared to yours.

So, um........don't watch Hulu for anime, then. Watch it for "The Seven Samurai" and Columbo reruns. You DO watch other things, don't you?

They had the widest selection of anime, superior to CR or Funi. In particular regarding older titles. So it was the right choice for me, other than the fact that I hate commercials. So the commercial free option was like a dream come true, for this short time, anyways. And anime wasn't the ONLY reason. I also like that Hulu has SNL complete with musical performances that are cut out if I buy the episodes on Amazon. But like, yeah, 90% for anime.
And just cos you knew Funi and MB were pulling out doesn't mean everyone did. I sure didn't. Also, does MB include Sentai? Cos the shows I mentioned are listed as Sentai.

I've found Hulu had more of the good anime than CR. CR has been very disappointing lately and I keep it just because of a couple of shows.

They got rid of 80s/90s classics like "The Dirty Pair". They still have " Revolutionary Girl Utena" though, but it probably won't be long before that's gone too.

I know that at least One Punch Man is available on Daisuki, but I'm not sure about the other two. Still, subscribing for two shows seems crazy to me.

Where IS this Daisuki, Neon Alley, and streaming Anime Network that Hulu keeps referring to? Is it one of those Roku thingies?
(I wouldn't know, I use a PS3 as my STB, and they only have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, CR and Funi.)

Coincidentally, I've been trying to finish up my Spice & Wolf viewing while it's there, because I keep subconsciously confusing Hulu with Holo.
