Probably all of the anime that Hulu had will go to both Crunchyroll or Funimation.
There should be an anime draft to see which anime will be on Crunchyroll and which ones on Funimation.

Supposedly a lot of the flagged shows for removal were in error, and the purge isn't nearly as large as was expected initially.

The reason Hulu has a gigantic anime catalog in the first place is because sites like Funimation and The Anime Network needed a free streaming alternative for their SD libraries to drum up a little revenue as well as provide some impetus for getting people to subscribe to them for a commercial free, HD experience. So for that reason a large chunk of Funimation, Sentai, and TAN series are now no longer set to expire. Because otherwise they would have to do like Crunchyroll and use their own web player, or just stop offering up a free alternative (which would definitely not go over well with fans).

I joined Hulu to get caught up on Steven Universe but they still haven't added the second season, so what's the point?

Where IS this Daisuki, Neon Alley, and streaming Anime Network that Hulu keeps referring to? Is it one of those Roku thingies?
(I wouldn't know, I use a PS3 as my STB, and they only have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, CR and Funi.)

Coincidentally, I've been trying to finish up my Spice & Wolf viewing while it's there, because I keep subconsciously confusing Hulu with Holo.

I've never heard of Neon Alley, and I don't know what hulu keeps referring to, but daisuki[dot]net is an anime streaming service that is currently free-to-watch and legal. It is run by a few of the animation studios in Japan. If hulu is referring to it in videos, I can only assume they have an agreement with daisuki that allows them to stream shows from their site.

I hadn't heard anything about hulu losing anime before now, but if that's the case, I'll have to speed up my watching, because there's a lot of shows I can only find there.

Neon Alley is (was?) run by Viz, as an excuse to plug Naruto, Bleach, and their return of the Ranma 1/2 boxsets, but for a while they were trying to sell it as a scheduled streaming service, a la PlutoTV.
They said a while back they were going to go download-streaming, but that was before their stuff ended up on Hulu. And FWIH, sounds like Viz plans to stay on Hulu, so if you still haven't caught Ranma or the original Sailor Moons...

Depends on ownership. Funimation for example doesn't own "The Dirty Pair", Nozomi does. So maybe CR can pick up Nozomi shows.

I think you're exaggerating... I looked through my anime on Hulu and none of them have said notice.

Not having corporate connections of their own like Funi and Viz do, Nozomi and Discotek only have CR to stream their material, but not sure if Nozomi has the streaming rights to the Pair yet.

When they do, LEAP on it. I give you permission to binge-watch.

Hulu has always sucked. At least on a company and customer service level. This just adds to the suckage. Ah well, they were on my boycott list anyway and will never get another penny from me but that really sucks for everyone like the mp who use Hulu for their main source for anime. Just one more reason why I'll continue to avoid them. Hopefully Amazon will continue to improve. Kabaneri was a good start. I won't count too much on Netflix. Between CR and funimation I'm pretty happy. Funimation has nearly everything that Hulu does anyway since Hulu gets around 90% of their shows from them. I do wish CR would get more anime movies though. I'd pay for an extra subscription for that sort of like how Netflix also has their dvd division. Just call it CR movies or something and charge 7 or 8 bucks a month. Free would even be better. Now if they could also get more OVA's and extra episodes for all the anime's they already have I'd be really happy.

I'd really love to be able to watch the Berserk: The Golden Age movies before the series starts here on CR. I've seen the first one but can't find the other one's except for in English and I would rather watch it with subtitles. I may just have to break down and buy them or something.

Most anime I watch in HULU are 720P. Otherwise, I will be in a certain kiss site watching anime. I not watching anime a 480P. I know I am such an entitled bitch for wanting standard resolution.
