animation companies in Japan don't care about the west. the amount earned through sites like Crunchyroll is negligible compared to the amount earned through bd sales and merchandise in Japan. /bluntness

Funimation has already stated that companies in Japan do listen to the "big" companies in the US.

I would rather see a second season of 'Blue Spring Ride' to tell you the truth.

I don't think 100 signatures will be enough for an animation company to produce an entire new season of an anime that is fairly old. There are dozens of other anime that I would rather see get a new season rather than this show too. What would the signatures even do? Show the amount of people who want another season? I'm sure there are 100s of people that want another season of that specific anime but I doubt it will actually get one. Oh well what do I know. Good luck, my friend.

On the scale of "What we pay attention to", online petitions would be at the bottom of the list for those deciding what new anime to make. After all, they require little effort and no commitment.

What they do pay attention to is people that have demonstrated they would commit financially. Viewing legal streams of a series you would want a sequel to is far more influential than any signature on a petition, be it online or physical. Buying the BD or DVD is even moreso.
