I don't think he is a great speaker. Because he stutters alot, has a beyond basic vocabulary(thats why he misplaces words and phrases), and he just overall sounds like and old angry white guy. Also being "intelligent" is very vague. Intelligence according to what? Science? Math? Maybe you are good at persuading people? Honestly I dont think anyone in the 21st century is a "good" speaker. Anyone can sound intelligent.
Edit: However, Trump has won a lot of supporters because of the way he speaks so that obviously means something.
To me a good speaker uses simple and vast vocabulary (profound diction). Also isn't ideal but knows what to say that will satisfy the majority of people.

That's what I thought too. He speaks like a 4th grader, "they are good people", "they are bad people". But that is why he is a genius. I now think that when he is stuttering and repeating his sentences, he is actually searching for very simple short sentences made with simple single syllable words that are different words but repeats what he just said. That's not easy to do when you are not used to doing it. Try it yourself. Write or speak a paragraph to some girl or boy that you like with only very simple sentences and very simple words, without either sounding like an idiot nor insulting the intelligence of that person, and most importantly achieving of objective of making them like you.

He is the best. Really very good. He's hired the right people, made great deals and, I don't want to say, well, and I've said this before, he might be the Messiah. I'm just saying, look, he could be the Messiah. You never know. You just never know. I've said before, this is something I've talked about... His campaign is really doing very well. Look, some people... some people don't like Trump. They are, and I mean... I've said that they are losers and they're not very good people. Not good at all. Those people, look, those people, they are rapists, many of them are rapists. And, by the way, he loves the rapists. He's done very well with the rapists. Nobody likes the rapists more than trump, and he's really doing very well with them...

blah blah blah.

lol, if even rapists like him, he must be very popular. If he's popular then there must be very good reasons why he is popular. I have no reason to not like him. So I like him.

I think Trump is a jackamule but he's actually smart enough to play the election like reality tv.
It's working
I don't think he'll make a good president though. We wont be getting one of those.

I don't mind Trump, and between him and Clinton, I would much rather see Trump win. I just hope that whoever wins repeals Obamacare so that I can get a PPO plan again and have insurance covers tests and not have to deal with referrals.

I want to watch all of Trump's speeches. Because Trump is a great speaker. Trump is great at interviews. He has this tremendous energy. He speaks very well, to the people. He is doing very well with people. He is doing very well with the white people. He is doing very well with the black people. And he will be doing very well with the Latino people. Trump is doing very well in the election. Because he speak with tremendous energy. So people like Trump. Everybody likes Trump.

Okay, you got the monosyllables and repetition down--
Now, you have to get the hyperdefensive "No, really, I know what I'm talking about, real things!" emphases in there:

"He speaks very well, to the people. He is doing very well with people. Real people, good people, we're talking people who've been to college. Y'know, there's some guys, guys who've been to Columbia Business, they talk amazing--He's been doing well with them too!"

And then the "I'm not really racist, it's just a few foreigners that are evil" disclaimers:

"He is doing very well with the white people. He is doing very well with the black people. And we're not just talking about the gangsters and the rap thugs, those that're breaking into the apartments--There are, y'know, a few good black people out there, with jobs, maybe with families, y'know, not leeching off of welfare, because they're great people, too. He's fine with everybody, because he loves the people in his campaign."

(Y'know, Don, in hindsight, maybe it was NOT the greatest idea to call out the judge who wanted to open the Trump University files as "maybe a Mexican, but, y'know, it's okay, we're fine with it"?
Here's one of the things that makes us question the "Business smarts" angle. )

Trump is a very savvy person when it comes to popularity contests like this election. He came up with a simple, yet catchy slogan that appeals to emotion and encapsulates the ideal he runs under (Make America Great Again). He also identified his voter base, zeroed in on them, and tailored his speeches directly to this demographic. He tapped into a wellspring of discontent with his populist platform, and has been milking it for all its worth. He ran circles around his opponents in the primary by knowing just how to manipulate the media.

I'm skeptical on how effective he'll be after this popularity contest is over though. He has no experience with any political position. This works against him because being the President (or having any important political position for that matter) means you have to know the institutions you'll be dealing with and the people you'll have to convince to cooperate with you. His whole business career has been built on compromise and making deals, but I wonder how much of that experience will translate into politics.

Well he is someone that is better, but not someone we need.

He does his own thing that is a bit great.. but also very bad... lets gamble!
He isn't very... good to deal with issues, but he gotta know a few things over the years from either business to some.. "math" lolz
While Hillary has she learned anything?
I guess she is just PR, now make a action figure out of her and sell it to those who got a pink/women card.

Unrelated to the topic at hand, but I would love to see Trump become president, just to see the feminists, SJW's, and far leftist regressives lose their minds over it.

Wow. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Trying to write stuff that 4th graders wouldn't have any problems understanding while not sounding like an idiot is a lot harder than he has made it look on TV. But that was a real thing that happened. Neither me nor my friend supports Trump or anything that man has ever said. But while talking with him about various topics from racism to poverty to crime to immigration, what we slowly began to realize is that Trump is a GENIUS! Because you don't need to make sense to win elections. You don't need to have policy positions to win elections. You don't even need to say a single sentence that is either true or have meaning to win elections. The only thing you need to do to win elections is win votes! And talking as if your entire audience are 4th graders with average IQ of 80 with no capability to think for themselves is exactly how you win elections!

I am 100% serious when I say that Trump is a genius, and I am 100% serious when I say I want to speak like Trump. I think I can learn a lot from Trump. I think by watching and learning from Trump I can become more popular and be seen as being more friendly with people.

I wouldn't call him a genius because I don't think it's an entirely conscious effort. I think Trump is able to do that by virtue of not giving a fuck. In other words, he understands less about people and decency than the average human, and that removes some limiters that regular people have and so he can shamelessly bullshit his way around like this whereas other people couldn't just do it. He's not a genius, he's a savant; he has a handicap of sorts (he's probably a sociopath), but that handicap allows him to be exceedingly proficient in a very specific set of skills.

We should really teach in schools how to resist and counter sociopathic bullshit. It is an invaluable life skill - from avoiding abusive boyfriends to not voting for hateful assholes - and we really have too little of that.

I was reading about this study that was published on Narcissism a while back and for the study they took a group of people, half are identified as narcissists and the other half are normal. They had each person in the study write an essay. After they're through with the essay one of the people involved with the studies then flips a coin. Heads and they give them an A, tails and they give the paper an F. Nobody actually reads the papers. They then give the papers back to the group and all of the people who were given an F are told that they can get a little pay back against the person who graded them if they want to. The person that they are told gave them the grade is sitting behind a one way mirror and hooked up to some electrodes and the person with the bad grade is told that they can hit a button and shock them if they would like. It's a fake set up and nobody really gets shocked but they don't know that. They are also told that the machine they can use to shock them can be set from 1 to 10 with 1 being just a little tingle and 10 being a major shock and they are allowed to do what they want. They found that in EVERY single case that those identified as narcissists always shocked the person. Not only that but nearly every single one of them set it all the way up to 10 and did it over and over again and seemed to gain a lot of pleasure from their payback. Those who were not identified as narcissists in all cases refused to shock the person. They were able to talk one or two of them into doing it and even then they would NOT put the machine on a higher setting than 2 and they seemed to feel really bad for doing that.

When it comes to narcissistic people:

...all perceived criticism feels gravely threatening to them (the reason that their inflamed, over-the-top reactions to it can leave us so surprised and confused). Deep down, clinging desperately not simply to a positive but grandiose sense of self, they're compelled at all costs to block out any negative feedback about themselves. Their dilemma is that the rigidity of their defenses, their inability ever to let their guard down (even with those closest to them), guarantees that they'll never get what they most need, which they themselves are sadly--no, tragically--oblivious of.

Do we really want someone like this running our country? How do you think a narcissist would have dealt with the Cuban Missle Crisis? How would a narcissist deal with the cold war? I doubt we'd all still be around if Trump had been president during the 80's. How about every time a Russian jet buzzes one of our ships or planes. You know Trump would feel so personally slighted he would send orders to retaliate or open fire. What happens when Puttin or China's leader puts Trump down or makes him look stupid in public? A Narcissist will always seek revenge because of their grandiose sense of self. Is this really the kind of person you want in charge of our nukes?

Hillary has her own issues and I'm sure she has quite the ego but I doubt she'll commit the world to nuclear holocaust over a few words,. I've known plenty of narcissists and they are extremely destructive people. They are the center of the universe and they go out of their way to let everyone in that universe to know that. The sun does not set and shine for Donald Trump alone.

Trump is the perfect candidate. In a nation filled with rampant Nationalism, excessive Patriotism, and extreme Paranoia, his simple use of the English language to eloquently say absolutely nothing of value effectively says exactly what the simple minded wish to hear.

The simple minded, or blind patriots, are often overly religious, believe in Good versus Evil, steadfastly hold dear the very Fact in their mind that America can never do wrong and is Always The Good Guy, and grasp onto every single syllable of the loudest person in the room.

They believe Obama and Liberals actually want to take away all of their guns and will do it by force. They actually believe they will die in a shootout with the Federal Government to defend their right to own firearms and are prepared to do so. They actually believe that Christianity is under attack and they may denied their right to practice their religion. They actually believe that Transsexuals will go into bathrooms and molest their children. They are the most ignorant and easily manipulated population in history. And no, they aren't only Republicans.

Trump is the candidate they deserve. And if they are able to gather enough votes, he is the candidate America deserves. The brilliant and supremely ironic fact underlying all of this? Trump doesn't believe a word of it.

I envy the man. He lies better than any politician in modern history and can do it with a straight face. He is literally a Democrat that has now become the Republican nominee by saying whatever his audience wants to hear. He will do whatever the hell he wants if he wins because he is actually an intelligent human, with a temper and superiority complex, who will make a really great president despite his electorate.

I never thought that it was possible, it defies all of American history, but we now have a Democrat running against a Democrat for President of the United States. I follow politics very closely and the pure GLEE on political analysts faces is like your favorite anime getting a new season. No matter what happens this will go down in history.
