I've been with CR on this account for near a year at 7 dollars a month. I'm a full time student working part time jobs to make ends meet with various other expenses and when I pay for something, I expect it to be quality and work. I'm growing very tired of the same BS whether on my tablet using the app or website to watch anime and encountering these problems; I get pissed with that and switch to my pc and it happens either way.

Looking back at forums from 2010 and onwards it was supposedly supposed to be addressed back in the Q1 of 2014, we're at the middle half of 2016 and this shit is none the better. When is CR going to fix this garbage connectivity issues? It isn't my rig or my devices as everything is up to date. Going to deactivate and look elsewhere if this isn't remedied sometime soon as it's been happening for too long.

if you're watching during hours many people might watch. that may be what.
according to cr they're player is awesome.
but due to the fact that it has no buffing(something about them fearing they are being used to pirate stuff if it has buffing for some reason), the slightest delay makes it freeze.
it runs best for me around 6-12 in the morning.

but yah, i wish they'd have buffing to deter freezing and such as well. especially since i have seen videos pirated from cr, so that no buffer thing obviously doesn't prevent pirating.

The recent issue I had with this was due to my modem being a bit old (which has now been switched out with a new model) and I have yet to have issues watching anything like I was before I switched it out.

Can say this has been a huge issue for my husband and I recently. We have done absolutely everything possible on our end - we got an entirely new modem. We tried our PS4 with wifi and ethernet. We tried our computers. We tried "clearing the cache". We tried restarting, we tried closing absolutely everything else besides CR and it will still lag so much that we cannot even finish an episode. We had to struggle to watch the latest Jojo all the way through. It was awful.

I love CR to no end, but if this issue continues, then there is really no point in keeping our subscription. I definitely want to support the series I love, but I cannot do so with a broken system. I really, really do not want to go back to fansubs as I do not like them, but when there's no other choice, there's no other choice......

I'm getting the same problems no matter where I am or what I use or how I connect.
The "solutions" I keep getting are the same and they don't work because the problem isn't on my end.
If this isn't fixed soon I'm just gonna drop CR and start looking for torrents to be honest because this is ridiculous.
As much as I love CR and I love having all my favourite anime in one place I refuse to pay for something this unreliable.

I've been experiencing video stuttering, specifically, since the most recent Crunchyroll maintenance; the fixes I've gotten from customer service haven't been working so far.

Considering other streaming sites are working fine, I am disappointed

It's not happening to me with 480p too. Funny though, the ads load just fine, I just sat through a bunch of them only for it to freeze on the anime, making me have to refersh the page, and watch the ads again.. I'll never renew my account with this performance.

I have been having this issue with my kindle fire hd for about a month now. A lot of stuttering and bad video artifacts. It is unwatchable, so I have been watching on you tube.

This has been happening for quite some time now, and when I've addressed it with Crunchyroll, they worded it as if they are blaming connections. Even throwing DNS into the mix when I'm already connected to the site. Really???

Crunchyroll just needs to get their sh*t together and increase the bandwidth on their servers, it's that simple. Quit dicking your customers around.

Using a different DNS service may result in you connecting to a different CDN server with a better end-to-end connection to your device.

It is quite hilarious how CR themselves said there was going to be BIG changes in 2014 w/ an all new player and better servers, and then all of a sudden, that news just disappears and gets swept under the rug. I was even there when that conversation was happening. Interesting how Funimation can do a simple bandwidth increase to fix that whole player problem on their side, but CR can't hire capable engineers to fix their player. How are they spending their money anyway? I mean, I'm all for skipping these shitty light novel adaptations we've been getting in bulk, so if they can save some money and skip the crappy shows that most people clearly don't want, then maybe we can finally get a capable player that works 100% of the time?
