mmm

if i werent married
then I would maybe at least date someone who has an open mind when it comes to japanese animation in general or someone who like animation in general but it would be more fun when you have the similar wavelenght when it comes to anime

and more moderate taste

It depends on how well they can wear a pillow slip cover...and how well they pull it off!

My current girl who grew up in Tokyo is sort of embarrassed that I pay for crunchyroll and spend most of my free time binge watching shows. At least she takes me to Akihabara whenever we visit her family. I do believe whatever hobby or activity you love and can share with your other makes a world of a difference. For instance. I love drinking, beach volleyball, and meat. It's a deal breaker if you don't have those 3 qualities.

It would be great actually, but I doubt there's a woman out there my age who watches Anime and listens to Haujobb.

But there's individuals out there that you can turn into person that likes anime. For example, my ex-girlfriend who didn't watch anime at all but after telling her to give it a try, she loved it.

Q: How inclined are you to date someone who watches anime? Are you more interested in searching someone who does or does it not matter?

A: Its not a deal killer if they are not into anime as long as they don't judge me differently that I do. Ideally, it would be nice to have the same interest such as anime because you don't have to explain the differences in genre etc.

It's certainly not a deal breaker as long as they weren't actually against it, but I can certainly say that I would prefer if my partner also watched and was interested in anime.

Honestly for me it doesn't matter, as long as they can handle my fanboying c:

All the girls that I've dated were not into anime at all. Most of the girls I hang around with aren't really into that stuff anyways so it's never really been a necessity, I prioritize other qualities (like partying, liking the outdoors, also liking to chill out and relax, not vegetarian, preferably informed citizen (I'd almost say this is a necessity), and likes to work out, haha. Also: sweet, kind, caring, confident, outgoing enough, isn't afraid to speak her mind (no passive aggression, just tell me if you're pissed off!), open for change, and a hard worker/determined.... If my wife could have about a third or more of those qualities I'd be a very happy guy methinks, but I'm open to surprises; anyways rant over). But it'd certainly be a plus if she did watch anime! As long as she's open to it/doesn't care that I like it then it's not a problem.

With relationships you learn to deal with your partner's quirks and preferences, if you like them enough then you can let some things go. For example my first girlfriend LOVED America's Next Top Model and those MTV hook up shows.... You just learn to live with it after a while!
