Different countries have different annual holidays. What's your favourite annual holiday, whether it's significant to your country, your religion or your family?

I have searched the forums trying to find another like this but nothing has came up, so here we go.

Christmas. It's fairly unique, and while I am not religious it is a huge part of American culture. It is really the one time of the year everyone changes and tries to improve themselves around others. The whole atmosphere is different and the ritual of the tree and presents is fun.

Halloween. Something about it just makes me come alive. Over the years I've spent it in Salem, MA, at a haunted nunnery/monastery, a haunted hotel, a haunted mental health institution, a haunted lighthouse, at a few attractions (Spooky World was the best) and even at private/public parties but the best was hanging out at an old cemetery for an all night reading of Poe.

HALLOWEEEEEEN.

I use it as an excuse to kinda Cosplay (something I've always wanted to do) if there's a party, and the acting work around Halloween is great fun. What's not to like?
I also just generally like autumn, so there's that too!

I'm not a fan of Christmas...

Mexico's halloween: "Dia de muertos" or "day of the dead" I love it, the tradition and respect for that holiday is awsome

Three holidays that are very important to me due to religious and cultural reasons.

In no particular order

The days of the dead October 31 - November 2

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe December 12

Holy Week it starts on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter
