WHAT? the CR dubs come up as funi. I considered it once as it'd work about the same price as CR, so I still won't get those dubs? or funi's lineup?

Funimation launched in the UK at the start of April http://www.funimationnow.uk.

As with Crunchy though, there appear to be a lot of gaps in their content compared to what they list as being available in the US. The main problem for all providers isn't whether they want to distribute the content outside their home region but whether someone else picked up region-exclusive rights first.

Netflix only posts series/seasons after they've been completed for a while correct? so it is quite different than CR, which streams episodes an hour give or take after they release in Japan

Not really, there's no recommendation system (that I've seen) but it would be nice to have one

I wouldn't say so. Netflix has its own lineup of anime.

Nope, Crunchyroll's Roku app crashes too much for it to be in the same class as Netflix.

No, then it'd actually be worth paying for.
Then again, I don't watch anime on Netflix either. "Official" streaming for anime is sooooo 2009.
Though if I had to give CR props for something, at least their site and player isn't as much of an abomination as Funi's, but everything is better than Funi.

as I've seen with amazon video, yes, TV series on streaming services usually get posted as whole seasons on streaming, sometimes in a similar time frame to movies getting a home release. exclusives like daredevil and the like though finish production first then get posted as a whole

Crunchyroll:

plus:
allows for streaming videos without paid subscription, albeit with plenty of ads
series are not modified from their source.
available on more countries

minus:
several people experienced video problems
ads need to be fixed someday (=never will be)
not many series available
customer support for problems not related to payment is virtually non-existent
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Netflix:
plus:
don't have as many problems with video streaming (possibly because of html 5)
higher selection of titles (most of which is non-anime)

minus:
paid only
sometimes, they'll modify a series, remove a few episodes or add censorship and then claim it as "original" (lol no)
restricted to a few countries (and they supposedly block people from using proxies as well)

neutral:
customer support?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if anything, CR is more comparable with Hulu, since it also is a platform that allows people to watch content for free through ads.
except Hulu is apparently decreasing the amount of anime available for view.
