Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

So, is it wrong to think there can never be good in humanity? Is humanity nothing but bad? Should I change my outlook on life because I think this way? What do you think?

Bonus Question:

Is it me or are there a lot of misanthropists on Crunchyroll and the rest of the internet?

Enjoy!!!

No, it's not wrong to think that, there are plenty of examples of humanity's failings but if you only look at the negatives you won't be very happy.

Not really, but I think it's smarter to blame the system. It's what's really fucked up. It's purely luck based.

who's better off, rich kid with good genes, or poor kid with shit genes?

pure luck.

Even our celebs are pure luck chosen.

Being angry, cynical, and misanthropic is my shtick. I'd be lost without it.

It's a mixed bag. There is both good and bad. There is a lot of good around, and a lot of bad around. It's not hard to find.

Sounds like a pretty sad outlook to see nothing good in humanity. There's alot of love, support, ingenuity, etc.

That being said, you should only change your outlook if that's what you feel is best for you. A belief is pretty flimsy if you change it purely because someone else says to.

Well since you asked I'll be blunt:

Yes it is wrong, as in incorrect. You don't have to look very hard to find examples of people being "good". That shouldn't need to be said.

You can believe whatever you want though. Nobody is going to care. I will say that you get from life what you put in, so being a negative drag won't serve you very well.

Bonus:

There are lots of angst-ridden children and depressed adults on the internet. Many of those claim to be "misanthropes" to make their bad personality seem deep and interesting, or to justify their negative outlook by hiding behind an edgy and misunderstood label. It mostly comes across as immature, shallow, and depressing to people who know better though. I doubt there are many true misanthropes labeling themselves and talking about it on the internet, because they aren't interested in seeking validation from those they despise.

Although there's nothing particularly wrong in the moral spectrum, it makes the speaker out to be a vindictive twat who can't see beyond his/her hate, and possibly with a heavy dosage of convenient favoritism towards themselves and a select few. These kinds of people tend leave themselves out of the equation and mark themselves as "special exceptions" to their outlook when confronted. I have much more respect for misanthropes who have the decency to include themselves, because of the lessened hypocrisy and higher gumption.

Bonus: I actually come across significantly fewer misanthropes on CR than Facebook.

There have been many examples of good in humanity. Even if it is just a small thing like being charitable for those in need, it is proof that there is good in people.

Yes, it is wrong. Yes, you should change your outlook on life. I think, with a lot of counselling and therapy, you will come to understand the true nature of humanity.

Bonus: Crunchyroll's problem is that many of the people posting on the forums are lack self-awareness entirely.

Ahh another, "What should I think post?". Putting aside that whole moral argument that one's personal thoughts can not be "wrong" (due to the whole cultural difference thing). Just keep in mind, negativity is just as natural as its inverse counterpart, and will serve you the same. Some people thrive on negative emotions and thoughts, while others do better when they are surrounded in a positive atmosphere.

Saying that humanity can produce nothing but a negative outcome would be foolish. The human element has the fantastic ability to do whatever its wants, for whatever reasoning. It may seem like a cluster of negativity, but that might be your current perspective on it, and is subjugated to change.

Change your outlook only if it will entertain you. I would advise caution, as that can dull just about everything if your not careful. I would find a few things that you feel strongly about, and revolve your outlook around them.

Anyway, I personally think that humanity as a whole is doomed, but that does not necessarily mean it is all negative. After all, humanity signifies life and 100% of life ends in death.

Yes, It's wrong, and this is why. Humanity is but the sum of all our individual efforts. If you give up on humanity, you'll be part of the cause. You can't blame the system because we continue to support it. So, if it's good or bad...that rest on all our shoulders. And as far as haters goes, I believe every thought and emotion that one has is fine and normal. Actions though, will result in right or wrong. And prejudice will determine what is right and wrong. (but, yeah, now that you mention it)
So please, only "you" can prevent forest fires, I mean save humanity

misanthropy isn't even unique lol

there are millions of people who are actually proud of being depressed or whatever since it makes them seem deep with complex issues, or at least in their perspective it does

if humanity today is shit then what does that make our ancestors?
