So, is it wrong to think there can never be good in humanity? Is humanity nothing but bad? Should I change my outlook on life because I think this way? What do you think?

First of all, I would like to state that I don't think it is wrong (or right) to think anything at all. You can think whatever you feel/want to as that is your right as a human being. Think whatever you want; now acting on whatever you think is different, and a topic for another forum I'm sure!

I can definitely relate to your statement about humanity, but whether you change your outlook on life because you have encountered a lot of selfish pricks in the world (or on the internet) is entirely up to you. Since you are posting a question here about the whole sentiment I have to think that you are looking for other thoughts on the matter. I am "hoping" this means you have some hope left for humanity. **cue the cheese

I do have to wonder why you would consider adopting that mindset and having it as your "outlook on life". Just curious, but how is that state of mind going to benefit you? Will it help you achieve your goals? Does it make you happy? Does it fulfill you? Does it give you a sense of peace? Does it benefit other people? Does it benefit anything at all?

I don't know about you, but I feel in a worse mental state if I constantly focus on all the negative crap going on in the world. I'm not advocating we all stick our heads in the sand and believe in unicorns and rainbows because life is just full of sunshine, but if you never look and see that anything is "good" or "positive" or "fun" then what is the point of living at all? If you want to constantly live in a negative depressive phase and bemoan how horrible humans are and what a crappy world we live in, fill your boots... but you might find the only people who want to be around you are people who share your same mopey negative attitude about everything.

Bonus Question:

Is it me or are there a lot of misanthropists on Crunchyroll and the rest of the internet?

Maybe the people who aren't so negative don't feel the need to comment as much or as often as the majority of people you do see posting online. I very rarely comment or post, but I definitely have an opinion about many things. For the most part, I just don't have the time to sit down and formulate a response. I'm sure many people out there like me exist.... people who are working, going to school, and busy with their lives in the outside world (cleaning, laundry, shopping, and all that crap). People like me just don't have a lot of time to blog, comment, or otherwise post our opinions. People who read the ridiculous comments and really want to post something, but then decide that the majority of people trying to incite controversy and hate speech are probably just trolls anyhow. Those poor trolls, all bored and alone with nothing to do they lurk in forums and make multiple accounts and post crap with the sole intention of starting a s***storm. I notice the same people over and over again, positing the same stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them even got paid by various special interest groups.... (See, even I have a bit of misanthropist in me)

Now, if I had more time on my hands then maybe I would post more in forums and give my opinions, but I prefer to spend what little "free-time" I have doing things I truly enjoy like playing video games, watching anime, and riding my bike!

Here's a question for you: Do you think you could be good for humanity? Or will you jump on the misanthropist boat and whine about how unfair life is while doing nothing to help out anybody else, hiding behind your curtains, wearing a tinfoil hat, and keeping your meager life savings and possessions buried in the backyard so the "man" can't take it? **Sorry, not trying to be mean, but I have a very deep sarcastic streak that just doesn't like to keep quiet.**

Yes, life is hard and unfair and full of many selfish a**holes, but you can choose to take that all as a challenge (I love a challenge myself). I used to be a homeless drug addict in an abusive relationship when I was a teenager. It's been a long road. Things can change if you want them to, but it starts with you... not them, you know, the dark side of humanity and the internet you were asking about.

No it's not. We are so focused on ourselves than others. I think that's why we have degraded ourselves.
Edit: However, there are some good people in the world still. It's not that we are inconsiderate, it's that people are okay with doing whatever they want. I keep hearing reasons like "It doesn't hurt anybody" or "They should do whatever makes them happy" to justify their reasons. That's why I think this world is messed up. We need to take care of the future generations because what we are doing will affect them. They will see us as bad just as how we see previous generations as bad.

I'd say it's pretty stupid to say humanity is nothing but bad. We've done plenty of great and wonderful things. The only difference is you don't have these things thrown in your face everyday because it doesn't grab your attention. If you're given a bag of 7 billion grapes, chances are there are gong to be a lot of really nasty grapes in there and there's just nothing you can do about it.

Think about people like Madame Curie, MLK, Benjamin Franklin, Ghandi, Einstein, Homer, Socrates and Co, Da Vinci, All the famous classical musicians, Galileo and Newton.

Humanity has done a lot of great things, I don't think that a couple of local shootings should weigh heavily enough to counter act everything that we have done and learned as a species. And it doesn't even have to be important people who have done huge things, what about Red Cross, Goodwill and other donation services and volunteer organizations like Habitat for Humanity.

Bonus: And yes there are a lot of misanthropist on the internet because when people get on a computer their self image suddenly spikes and they are better than everyone else and anyone who disagrees with them should just die because reasons... Hating everybody is the cool thing for the internet now-a-days it seems

It's not wrong to think that. People suck and the end of the world cannot come soon enough.
