Does anyone else here have a Funimation subscription? I wanted to watch Mushishi but they only have the second season here on CR so I went over to Funimation and saw it had the original first season which has 26 episodes. I'm a paid subscriber to Funimation so I log in and then click on the first episode sub and not dub and then a video peoples up with a commercial. A freaking commercial? The side of the screen says HULU and this is the first time I've had this happen. WTF is this? I thought Funimation licensed their shows to Hulu and not the other way around so why am I watching a show on Funimation that's being linked to Hulu? I didn't even know they did that crap. I'm seriously about to just cancel my sub to Funimation because if anyone's seen any of my posts then they know I absolutely loathe Hulu. I have completely boycotted their sorry site and will not support them, even with free ad's. Is this something Funimation does all the time? I've watched dozens and dozens of shows and this is the first one that is showing from Hulu.

So why the heck am I paying Funimation to play a link to one of Hulu's videos? Sigh, this really irkes me. Funimation hasn't been the most pleasant of sites but this is really low. Ah well, at least I have CR.

Please tell me you use your head and ask that over there too?
I think is an error and you were mistaking for a nonpaying member. It happened to me in the past with them. FN uses sometimes Hulu player for none paying customers. From my experience that is.

Well, nm. For some odd reason my subscription has been cancelled. That's weird. I looked back over my records and it charged me in Feb, Mar but not in April for some reason. I didn't cancel and I definitely had funds in my account this whole time. I wonder why/how it got cancelled? I'm the only one with access to it. Ah well, I don't watch it much anyway. No wonder it's sending me to Hulu. Weird.

I would love to ask over there but I cant seem to get their forums to work for some reason. Tried in three different browsers and keep getting errors. And they didn't just get my sub mistaken for free, it is free. My sub somehow got cancelled without my cancelling it and I definitely had plenty of funds in my bank account. I guess I'll resub, or maybe not. I haven't made up my mind. I don't use them that much but I really do want to see Muishishi though.

Hulu always has ads for the cheap membership tier. (Yes, you get ads even if you pay.)

Have you check your bank account? Do you use PayPal? Did you disable auto renew? Have you try support? I know FN support is worst than CR support. I suggest trying to get help through their Facebook page.

I think he meant the FN sub though. That shouldn't happen if he sub to FN.

FUNImation has a contact form that you can use to contact Funi Support: http://www.funimation.com/support. From the drop-down menu, select "Subscription Billing" or "Subscription Access" as the reason for the email:

I've used it before and they got back to me in a reasonable time. Hope that helps. Cheers.

Funi story here...(ha ha).

I have subs to CR, Funi, Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, so I don't get ads, period. I'm just posting because it's a coincidence that you brought up Mushi-shi; I was just able to watch that again for about the 4th time last night on my (apparently ancient) Kindle Fire HD 8.9 (second-gen) because of Hulu support.

The new forced upgrade Funi android app no longer supports my (apparently POS hardware tablet that I paid way too much for), and CR's current app doesn't support the KFHD8.9, either. I had to sideload an alternately-sourced older APK, not the one in the Kindle store, to have CR work, but I can't go back to the old Funi/Phunware one, it seems.

But I downloaded the actually-officially-supported Hulu app from Amazon, which still works on the KFHD8.9, and I got to watch Mushi-shi (Funimation's show) using that.

We'll see how long that lasts before I have to risk bricking it by rooting and installing 5.1 (Lolipop) from perfectly android, which I'm kind of afraid to do. Apparently it isn't possible to jump all the way up to 6.0 marshmallow yet. 4.4 (Kit-Kat) is also an option, but I don't see any reason not to get as current as is available.
