Kadokawa easily the one that can ruin your stuff. They just got a schedule how to do stuff> Get 1° season > then 2° Season > Then the movie after that don't finish the series.

And don't forget Crunchyroll Maintenance Times! (1 since 2013)

Kind of curious about that too, I know that some OVA like Ghost in the Shell Arise go for similar prices here in Europe. (Heck, I paid ~$45 per disk of one episode each for the Japanese release. They come with English subs anyway.)
If it's just for a regular TV series however... They'll learn pretty fast that charging Japanese prices on the US market isn't going to make them survive for long with all the competition.

As for any anime distributers I hate, none, really. That said, I do have some quarrel with a few of the non-British anime distributers.
Most of them are as lenient as a concrete wall laced with steel and as in touch with the anime fanbase as a CEO of a billion dollar company is with the guy from the mail room.

Kill LA kill. The odd thing is the series was made on a tight budget so it should be cheaper -_-

That was limited edition I got the regular edition for $40/disc at rightstuf

Besides that is still $10/episode. Absurd!

that explains the price. Yea I found out that aniplex prices are higher on amazon. wasnt impressed. But like I said in my first post I believe that the discs are of higher quality than other US companies which is why ive been a bit more lenient towards them. Ive just been irritated at their lack of releasing some of their backlog onto bluray like Oreimo, if they were to list that I would preorder it in a heartbeat.

My heart skips a beat when I see Aniplex prices and yet I'm still buying the Monogatari BDs.

Talking anime, I hate sentai filmworks subtitles. Yellow subs are the worst, why can't we have multiple font choices? With white on black subs? It fits so much better with shows and looks less out of place and is the easiest sub format to read.
They have nice deluxe edition stuff though and decent sales often so I have to give them that.

Also any company that doesn't sell DVD's anymore. Or Blu Ray only Deluxe edition.I can't afford a blu ray player. if I did I couldn't buy any anime. I also hate Blu Ray packaging, it feels way cheaper than DVD. but the worst. Is the ones who sell DVD but only as a DVD/Blu Ray bundle so they can charge more than the blu ray price cuz you're fucked and need the DVD *cough cough* Soul Eater NOT!.

And manga wise, Tokyopop. Nothing with ever beat my hatred for Tokyopop. I don't even need to explain why.

I think this is them trying to copy Japanese anime sales prices. I know lots of anime when first releasing in Japan. I know Bubuki Buranki as a specific example is selling BD copies of 3 episode bunches for 7,560 Yen(Though discounted on AmiAmi to about 6,420 Yen.) http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=MED-DVD2-31632 And the DVD's being 6,480 JPY discounted to 4520 JPY.

The issue with this is, the Japanese anime market and the english anime market are very different and they can't just copy what Japan is doing and expect for the same outcomes in sale and whatnot.

Lol. That's basically trolling. $60 for 4 episodes.

That means owning one piece would be like $6000
