Apparently I only needed to catch up on S3 and damn you were right. I guess thats the power of being your own studio and using your own money to make your own original anime. You can do whatever you want at your pace without having to worry about shit like keeping it open ended or ambiguous in hopes of more future content. It was a mistake for me to cut onions while watching it.

This is the only reason I wait for the show instead of finding somewhere online to read it, because of those hilarious scenes, and Nekumi.........

FLCL seemed really weird when I watched it, but that was a long time ago

Elfen Lied- very graphic and the "girls" look like little kids. Very good though

Berserk- was not prepared... not at all... no one warned me

Don't think anyone has said this - Excel Saga.

It's meant to be that way. It's anime on drugs. I challenge anyone who hasn't seen it to try one or two episodes and NOT go WTF?!?!

"Excel Saga" isn't ment to be taken seriously, and yet its sense of humor is very bizarre.

A lot of them have at some point, but to me the last big one was Glasslip. I kept waiting for plot and gave up 2 episodes in.

Any Gainax show I've seen has caused me to utter "what the fuck?" at some point while watching it, pretty much without fail. Ditto for Trigger.

The biggest example of this, however, is probably Evangelion, particularly the last few episodes. For me, this is where the plot goes off the rails and takes a sharp, enthusiastic dive straight off a cliff into God only knows what. There was a great deal of confusion, followed by literal, out-loud laughter at the farcical absurdity of it (the "Would you like to couple with me?" scene had me in stitches), and finally, it left me wondering whether or not Roger Waters had tried to sue Gainax, because the last two episodes were literally like watching The Wall. So yes, there was a great big "What the fuck?" waiting at the end of it all. A "what the fuck?" that has still never been answered, by the way.

However, nothing I've ever seen comes close to an old one from 2003: Narutaru. I honestly can't even tell you if it was good or not. I might have to rewatch it, if I can find it.

The picture in that link just made me WTF.

Welp, added to my plan to watch list.
