My sense of humor is pretty dark, so I'd really like some comedy that involves battles, bloodshed, & friends who get on eachother's nerves.

I'm also looking for series that poke fun at the magical girls genre. Basically, the exact opposite of Sailor Moon, where the heroines are aggressive & don't try to cure evil by talking about friendship & morals, or even ones where they're too old or not even girls at all. Stuff like Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan (the first season anyway), Kill la Kill, Juubei-Chan, Is That a Zombie, Nurse Witch Komugi-chan, & Cute High Earth Defense Club Love.

Very dark and satirical apparently.

A few comedies not mentioned already:

Ben-To: Funny and weird. Not so much bloodshed, but lots of beating each other sense-less over half-price bentos.
Samurai Champloo: Very violent, some awesome sword fighting, and a dark sense of humor at times.
Trigun: All about a guy trying to win the right way, and a world that keeps beating him down for it. Starts more comedic, gets darker as the show goes on.

As far as shows that move beyond stereotypical magical girl shows, the classic one is Madoka Magica.

Others that at least do interesting things with the genre:
Maria the Virgin Witch
Magic Users Club
Otome Youkai Zakuro

Also, Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions spends a lot of time mocking the genre, but that's not the focus of the show (which is a good high-school romance show)

I see so many things there that might be dark, OR comedy, but not both.

Watamote maybe fits, but it's not all that dark.

A number of the ones on here fit the second half of the description: (atypical magical girl shows)
Witch Craft Works
Testament of Sister New Devil
Trinity Seven
Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches
Madoka Magico (which I mentioned too, only because I missed it on this list)

As for the others:
Amagami Brilliant Park isn't horribly dark, but it is hilarious, especially if you like good slap-stick or dry wit.
Angel Beats has a ton of dark comedy in it--if it didn't take a right-turn towards the tear-jerking in the last couple episodes. (The entire test-cheating episode is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen in an anime, and they get a lot of comedic mileage out of killing people who can't die in interesting ways.)

Yeah, there might be a couple light-and-fluffy comedies on there (Actually, I am ; Kawai Complex...), but in general I'm with neugenx on this one.

Lorreen may be right for the most part. I read the "&" as an "or" on my smaller monitor (I use both a 22" monitor and a big screen TV as a monitor due to recent eyesight problems). I was looking for titles that contained 2 (or the whole 3) elements when it seems I should've been looking for just all 3. I think I did get the magical girl spoofs right hopefully *crosses fingers*.
