New Mexico, mostly because people forget its part of the USA.

I don't know how many times I've told people I'm from New Mexico and I get comments like;

"but your so white"
"wow you speak such good English"
my favorite from a Texan, you know New Mexico's neighbor "was it tough getting across the border".

ve taken to telling people I come from the southwest, its easier that way.

Washington, because whenever someone says Washington, I think D.C. not the state.

Well, counting off the states I actually just forgot 3 of them...

Delaware
Wyoming
Utah

Since Delaware is probably the closest to me I'd have to go with it .

"Wow, you guys are in Europe?"

From a Texan. In response to being informed my company was based in British Columbia.

I'd like to chime in on this. Let's be real: Every state has it's pack of morons and people we don't particularly care for. No state, in the literal term can be forgettable. Disliked is the word I like to use and with that said, I can't stand the state of California. Hooolllyyy Shit. I was there for six months. After the BMW I was leasing was pierced with stray bullets from a driveby off the infamous Crenshaw Boulevard. I immediately made up my mind to move.
