Normal energy and matter will lose density as it spreads out in space. I believe most if not all people have a solid concept of this.

Yes, Kim and Khloe were just tweeting their observations on the interaction between energy and matter while accelerating through space. Absolutely riveting.

You must not get out much and chat with average citizens if you actually believe that statement. You give us far too much credit.

If I were attending Yale, I would probably be offended.

Thanks. Now I'm sad again.

Very simple. Dark matter are bad things that stay hidden and dark energy is when someone is negative all the time.

Example. Normal matter. It was a bright sunny day and I was breathing.
Dark matter. Insert dark horrible action or event.
Dark energy, I can't believe my favorite shows are playing at the same time!!
I hope this answer your question.

If you collide Matter and Anti-matter it explodes into nothing.

Wouldn't just disappear, exploding implies a reaction of some sort. This seems more like a cancellation or negation effect.

Higgs: it's too dark.

CERN flips the light switch.

Higgs: I can see.

Isn't Higgs-Bosen particles what they think gives matter its mass?

If it wasn't for having to take regular physics first and essentially being a physics major, all my electives would have been theoretical physics because this stuff is so interesting. Sadly, I know pretty much nothing about this stuff

Dark energy, Dark matter, are theoretical instruments to try and explain why the universe doesn't act as we expect it to.

We say "this thing should move like this, but it doesn't. If we add this amount of energy/mass it equals what we expect." That difference is the unexplained dark whatever.

The truth is probably more along the lines of we don't actually know how they should move because there is something we are missing or not understanding. I doubt simple addition will explain it.

well i'd say it's dark matter when your cycling on dark street without streetlights on and out of nowhere you notice row of white teeth and eyes.In same spot that seemeed empty till then. Then one hears "hello jamal. Care to light my cigarette?".True story.

Dark matter is when a fool in a Subaru thinks they don't have to yield during winter time and then totalled my Acura. RIP TSX.

This. Also, like I said.... for Dark Energy to exist it would have to break what we know of physics, because it is created from or during the expansion of the universe. (Based on the fact that dark energy remains the same density regardless of how much the universe expands)

Like I said, my theory is that it has something to do with the behavior of space and its interaction with the material within it, which we simply fail to understand at this point.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy are just cooler ways of saying "We think there's a whole bunch of stuff out there but we don't have a clue what it is."

A coherent and reliable source of information regarding this and other elemental structures of the universe may be found here:

It's so much better than saying, "Invisible beings in the sky are responsible for everything".

What, you mean random people in an online forum aren't a coherent and reliable source of information? Not only that, but you're putting your faith into SERN?

Ah, I couldn't resist.
