Lately for me its been watching Anne-Happy.

I Have depression and anxiety and I always feel better watching Hanako and Co. because even tho they are unlucky (esp Hanako) she is always smiling and when bad stuffs happens she just laughs about it and smiles and that makes me happy and hope that one day I can be like that too :)

Otherwise talking to friends and family helps. Also writing it down if you can't talk to someone helps as well

I just bottle it up because i have no output...not anymore i did once but...*sigh* it will be a long time till i can let the stress and depression and sadness out xD

Getting engrossed in something like a really good tv show, anime, movie or video game can help a lot. If you're engrossed in something you're not thinking of the the thing or problem that is making you sad/depressed. Although the hardest part can be getting into something because when you are depressed it's easy to just lose motivation to even get into something and just get lost in thought for ages and feel like you wasted your free time.

Music can be a double edged sword, sometimes it can uplift you, make you feel empowered or make you like saying F everything I don't give a crap lol. Other times it can make you remember things, people, certain times. Or make you feel more emotional, moved, etc..

Taking a break from cr forums can help too. It's easy to become addicted to them. Sometimes it's good because people you make you laugh, give you advice, fun to talk to, distract from what you were worrying about. Feel part of a group and welcome, which can make you feel far better about yourself.

Other times it can have a negative effect. Like worrying about what people think of you, if you said something stupid or may think you could have upset someone. How people interact with you, like feeling ignored by someone or many, getting jealous, or feeling left out etc... Worrying if someone sees you as a friend or you may like / crush on someone etc... that may cause stress or conflicting emotions. It can be easy to feel like it's best if you weren't there and that people dislike you and would be happy if you left. There are those that will like seeing you there though, even if they don't say so, or don't talk to you much. So don't forget that although it's easy sometimes.

So resisting the urge to check every 5 minutes can help lol and taking a step back, to have a rest from it. Not taking things so seriously and being more chilled out and relaxed definitely helps. Most people use a public forum because they are lonely and or bored and want to interact and meet people. Loneliness is a big source of depression for people. So it can be hard to find a balance then.

If you are lucky enough to have someone to talk to, just telling someone whats on your mind is a big help and release. Don't be afraid to take advice from someone younger than you because everyone has lead different lives and may have some good advice for you even if they are younger.

Dealing with your problems yourself can make you stronger but also keeping too much in can be too much to handle even if you think you can and view yourself to be a mentally strong and resilient person. Sometimes asking for help can be the "stronger" thing to do. Venting is a must sometimes, even if you make yourself look like a d*ck. It's better than it building up and up. Also even if it is difficult forgiving and forgetting what people have done is better than losing a friend and then regretting it after.

I usually cuddle with my cat while drinking a cup of green tea and watching my favourite anime

...and sometimes I just go for a run/walk or meet with friends for karaoke
