Well all 11 episodes under my belt and I gotta say, Really well done job, Bring on Season 2 (please hurry....Cliffhangers suck)

Good set of characters, most of them developed fairly well once the series got going. Pidge probably my favorite but then she did get a little more development than Lance and Keith

Evil Space Druids = Awesome

Final Episode was amazing

That was a really good first season I felt. other than ending on a cliffhanger.

I like how they did their own things while still paying plenty of homage to the original.

This is probably one of the better re-imaginings of a classics series I have seen next to Transformers Prime.

I have a few minor gripes, but nothing really worth discussing or debating.

Overall as someone who grew up with the original, I am very pleased.

This show is great. Yet, how was all the episodes released all at once?

My understanding is that Netflix's subscribers prefer to binge watch tv shows. Since Netflix cares about subscribers rather than viewers per timeslot, there isn't really a reason for them not to release all the episodes at once. My assumption is that they measure success by overall number of viewers and star ratings. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I saw all of it and i am loving it. I never saw the original voltron, but for the new one i love every bit of it. The characters are fun and the villains are serious as a threat. It is a show that I think a lot of people can enjoy.

Just finished watching the last episode, I have to say that I really enjoyed watching Voltron. There's not much more I really wanted to add from my earlier post, this show has consistently great animation and writing throughout. Plus, I think that they found a better balance between the humour and more serious moments as the season progressed.

If anything, the only problem is that 11 episodes just aren't enough. I want to watch more Voltron now!

I feel that this season was really just setting things ups, establishing the characters and the universe going forward. Netflix obviously has plans for Voltron, given how they choose to end this season. So, when the time comes to greenlight season 2 I'd like to see Netflix make the next run of episodes twice as long. Season 2 being 20-30 episodes would be a good size; it would give the writers plenty of room to make Voltron the best show that it can be.

You've got it right; since Voltron is entirely funded by Netflix they aren't beholden to the archaic weekly schedules of the broadcast networks. There are some shows on Netflix, like Shadowhunters, that drop new episodes weekly, because it's a networked funded show. But everything Netflix funds itself tends to be made available all at once on the same day, allowing people to binge watch the entire season in one go if they so desire.

I used to love Voltron as a kid but I'm a bit apprehensive. Netflix doesn't have the best track record for anime. Someone keeps telling me I just have to watch Knights of Sidonia but I really don't like watching uncompleted animes.....especially one's that may never be completed. Then there's Glitter Force (cancelled more than likely not that it matters, it was pretty bad) and also The Seven Deadly Sins (very rushed feeling anime, also not very good). So far Ajin is the only one that seems like it may be good. I've only watched a few episodes but I'm worried it too will not have a proper ending and just be thrown to the curb.

I heard that wtih Knights of Sidonia the reason we didn't get a season 3 is because it took so freaking long for Netflix to get back to Polygon pictures on whether they were going to do renew it or not and by that time Polygon had moved onto other projects. I don't know if this is true or not but I wouldn't doubt it. I'm just very skeptical of watching any original anime on Netflix.

Heck, I'm skeptical of watching anime period on Netflix. Look at Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I really want to watch that one but I don't want to watch fifty something episodes only to not be able to watch the last 12 or 13 episodes. It's been forever now and they still haven't added them. Why put a partial anime on Netflix to begin with? Where's part 5 for crying out loud?

Only on episode 7 but i came here to say a few things! The writing, music and animation has been superb in my eyes 5/5. And i normally wait till i finish the show to say this but it must be said! SEASON 2 OR WE RIOT! :D. Hopefully we get plenty more seasons to come the only problem i have with this cartoon is the fact we don't got alot of episodes ):

Nobody caught this in the new show? Sure it was the wrong people saying it, but I did a doubletake.

Almost as good as this:

Since it looks like people are starting to catch up on the show, here is a possible Easter egg from Episode 1:

I noticed that as well. I had to pause it and do a double take.

Just watched episode one and have to say I really enjoyed. Definitely hit all the nostalgia buttons. Though there's one bit that's really bugging me. When the Princess is assigning Lions she appears to have a rather sudden deep understanding of each of the protag's personalities despite just meeting them. Was there something I missed or was that bit just really, really contrived?

She's a magical space elf.
I'd say either magic or sufficiently advanced technology would explain it.

Which I would totally be fine with if they'd have hung a lantern on it.
