I'd be disappointed to find out there's a petty system in place that judges people for their actions in life. It would as well explain why life is so messed up in the first place, cause he or those who designed it are just morons.

Those are my thoughts...

It's called Karma--You get what you give.
Sorry if that sounds too Abbey Road-era Beatles, but it's the best sum-up for those traumatized ex-Catholic-school students who get hung up on cliche's from medieval paintings.

And in the latter case, it's not so much Hieronymus Bosch pitchforks as, you give nothing to others, you get Nothing (a LOT of Nothing) for yourself.

I just find the whole concept a bit dumb. Karma is often misunderstood by the simple law of cause and effect. But this rule is sometimes overturned by luck. You could be the biggest asshole on the planet, screw a lot of people over, and still end up a billionaire, with a beautiful wife, children, and you'll die old, healthy and on a warm bed with your family there with you till the end, as much as you can be the greatest person on the planet and suddenly you get brutally murdered by a psychopath.

I just think life is filled with random events that happen just cause you happen to be in the wrong place and the wrong time, or you could simply not be lucky enough to avoid every horrible thing you do.

Death however shouldn't be bound to the rules of the living or our perspective, death should simply be that, death, not about judging or rewarding, that just sounds too human.

People seem to have this idea of heaven as if we will still have a purely physical mind and that worshipping God will become boring or get tiring. Perhaps if our minds did not change they might be correct, but heaven is not like that. It is being glorified to a state beyond these corrupted bodies that become distracted and thus being able to experience God, eternity more intimately than can be imagined. The case that heaven will be boring or that we will be 'slaves' cannot be made if God is eternal and we participate in the energy of God. God will fill our limitless desires.

If you end up in hell, there is no hope for you, sorry to say.

Both modern denominations now pretty much accept that Hell is our own making:
If you insist on rejecting God because of your own personal issues or your own self-centeredness, and you'd rather have your own place to make a big rebellious/martyred show of sulking about it, God provides everything. Even your own private option to sulk.
When you feel like you want to stop resentfully sulking, or even stop punishing yourself for your own guilt or that you "don't deserve" fair treatment because of the effects your actions had on others, there's this little thing called "Forgiveness" He wants to introduce you to...

Like the old Irish saying, "It's a fool who doesn't believe in Hell, and it's a bigger fool who believes there's anyone still there."

Heaven would be boring. I would probably start a resistance movement just to spice things up.

Hell would suck. I would probably start a resistance movement to take over and pass some reforms.

I will join your rebellion.

I know I won't end up in either of them, because these things are imaginary places made up by uneducated, power-hungry stone age sheep herders.

Once I'm dead, my consciousness, personality, memory and any essence of life will be completely gone.

As fun as a revolt would be......sure. Why not? I'd join.

Hm-m. Well, my personal belief is that hell isn't so much of a location....it's just here. Right here, inside of us. Hell resides in the mind of every human, because hell is what you make it. Not that it's such a depressing thing as it sounds when written like that. Going off the same thought, heaven is there as well. If we make our own hell....reason would imply we make our own heaven as well.

At least the Greeks can admit their gods were imaginary.
Some people today still choose to believe the words of people who had no idea what 1+1 is.
