I know! They should set up guard towers near these enclosures, and have guards armed with less lethal armaments like beanbags and rubber rounds on constant standby in case someone decides to try to repeat this. Then they could shoot them until they submit, and the animals would be safe and clean. The perpetrator would probably even survive, too.

This is a great plan. And when Zoo tickets are $150+ to pay for all the security....that'll be great! All because of the occasional incident in which an animal or two dies.....

No. Just no.

Just realizing you are being sarcastic....but the above would be my response to someone who was serious about this.

Foolproof!! We need to get this to a government official and have this legislated as a mandatory requirement for any facility housing a menagerie!!

Yes, I'm not serious about that, and you should definitely question strongly anyone who is serious, but even there the key thing is to slow the person down long enough for someone to stop them before you have to destroy two thirds of your big cats due to shenanigans.

The bribes would probably be very low, overall, and I'm sure they have enough unemployed cousins or sons to fill the positions.
