Urban Dictionary's description of the term "Murican". An impolite way of saying "American" (or a polite way of saying "Americ*nt"). So they do use that word here albeit not too common. I didn't know it was old English. But I understand what you were saying. Calling someone a D*ck is fine, but when you call someone a C*nt it is considered rude & offensive? As if D*ck & F*ck was not rude & offensive?

Ohhh, I didn't know that, and I've been calling people 'Mercans on here. It's like my mind just knew it was the right thing to do. Although when English people (or at least I) use it, we're referring to Gun toting, loud mouthed sunburnt men, who drive SUVs and probably own a confederate flag. They'll almost certainly have lots of opinions on immigration and the policies of other countries, despite having never left America (if indeed they have even crossed state borders). The kind of guy who cries during the national anthem, but is terrifyingly cold in the face of Civilian deaths in warzones. So deeply self absorbed are they, that they are genuinely concerned about 'Homos' perhaps wanting to have sex with them, despite all of the above. That's a 'Mercan. (I could have continued, but I could feel my temper rising).

Yeah, C*nt/Cunny are just old English words for vagina. I don't even think they were considered swearwords until relatively recent history, although they were never the polite terms. Language is bizarre really.

I will just list a few, as there are many ways to greet someone. Some of those would be: bok, pozdrav, zdravo.

"Halla", fellow norwegians! A rare sight

You can also say "hei, hei". Really common to say if you walk past someone in the woods or something

Ja, og norsk må være det kjedeligste faget ever, ikke snakk om nynorsk

In Texas some people say "howdy y'all".... I vomited a little while typing that...

Thank you for saying this so I didn't have to. I'm from Texas and have never said howdy nor will I ever do so. Just thinking about typing it was making me cringe so I definitely owe you one.

I just say hello.

British (Friendly ver.) : Good day ol' chap. Spiffing morning isn't it?
British (Stranger ver.): [Eyes down and shuffle away to avoid any contact. Possibly release the hounds if any sign of imminent danger]
