feel free to post vids and links below, im too lazy right now to re get them

right now venzuela is in a shit hole, there are food riots, people killing eachother over food, people standing in line for 10+ hours just for flour
the leader is going to still be in until freaking 2019, unless he some how gets impeached or bloody killed

the ironic thing is, these people prided themselves in essentially being better off than the American people, better internet, better economy , just the daily things and luxorius things,

if it can happen to them it sure as hell can happen to us

This is already widely covered news and i have been reading about it the past year. The problem is a controlled economy with extremely poor planning. They aren't socialist, they are authoritarians with stupidity. I don't see that happening in America, we are too capitalist, and companies run the show.

You're an American. So I don't expect you people to have any kind of grasp of the difference between Capitalism and Corporatism. What your country does is CORPORATISM. Learn about it before you flap your gums about Bernbot nonsense.

Corporatism is a matter of opinion. I would thank you to not spread insults for someone who does not share your views.

America is in fact a plutocracy with economic capitalism and underlaying libertarian principals. Corporatism is one way to describe it but it's difficult to say how far on either side it is.

my thing is, im not talking about what kind of gov is running the country, - of course that comes into play- but im sayingthat is a country that "was better off than America , essentially" can end up like this, then we can too

Unfortunately Venezuela was probably never better off than the US in modern history. I would be very interested on any points you have to show it was, however.

And I agree on principal that a nation can fall and fall hard, but I don't think it can happen in America the same way it did there. Not within this generation at least.

No it's not. As far as i'm concerned, when you Americans got that excrement of ignorance coming out your mouth, why would anyone want to give you respect? You demand it and only want thing to be done selfishly YOUR way. Have you ever maybe thought that not everyone agrees with that?

Dear Gunsmith Girl
Given that you seem to spend half your time ranting about how great America is, and the other half aggressively disagreeing with people, this is rich.

I don't recall saying anything ignorant, or demanding anything. Why exactly are you phrasing this against me?

I can tell who's losing in this thread, it's the person with obvious bias against Americans.

Let's face it, how people see America is a non-issue for the most part, since there's too many people who don't care. How I see this country is different from how each and everyone in this forum sees this country, with some pieces aligning. Media as a mainstream entity is a whole different beast since it's not meant to be the truthful information tunnel we want, but instead is full of shit information majority of the time. Think MGS2, but real for the most part. Media will always now be the way it is because it's what gathers views and ratings.

I think she's a little bit unstable. I asked her if she was actually a gunsmith or just an enthusiast and I was told to fuck off instantly, haha. So I'd take what she says with a grain of salt, it may not even be her talking.

For some reason, I'm getting the feeling of "my opinion is right and your opinion is automatically wrong" from this.

I always find it funny when people from different countries have a disagreement with somebody from America or somewhere else. People from other countries love to point out what is wrong with America without ever living there. That impression only comes from a media system which only gives citizens a half truth about a circumstance. Unless you have spent enough time in America, then your opinion of America is shallow and fairly baseless. Also, one American doesn't make the whole nations. To say all Americans demand this or act like that is stupid. That is generalization and is also baseless. America is a melting pot and harbors tons of different groups of people from all over the world. There are many perspectives and many opinions. All people are selfish and everybody thinks their opinion is valid. Everyone wants things done their way. Saying that someone is beyond that because they live in somewhere other than America is stupid. There are plenty of problems with America, but don't lump in the whole nation because you encountered.....GASP.....a different opinion. You may only have a minuscule perspective of what the nation is as a whole. Plus, labeling someone you are speaking to as an American shows that you aren't paying close enough attention to what really matters
