Now if I wanted to cancel my Crunchyroll.com membership and move to VRV because I want the bundle, how would I keep reading the manga that I read on Crunchyroll? Will they bring back the manga only subscription to Crunchyroll.com? There are 3 to 4 channels I would watch in the VRV bundle but I don't want to lose the manga I read nor do I want to pay twice.

So I just paid my monthly fee for Crunchyroll Premium but would like to sign up for VRV combo instead. Is there a way to transfer my purchase over or am I just out the $7? Is there a way to sign in with my Crunchyroll account on VRV so I can keep my queue?

So basically, you can either pay $6.95/month and keep CrunchyRoll, or you can cancel your CrunchyRoll Acct, Create VRV account and purchase the combo pack for $9.99-therefore granting you access to all CrunchyRoll has on offer plus the addition of 7 other lesser known "Channels." Currently no way to link paid memberships to VNR-so I fail to understand how this is a good business venture on CrunchyRoll's part. I get the idea-and 'if' there was some decent anime on Funimation, for example, then this additional $3/month may well be justified. In the end, will it not just incline clients to discontinue service for those dedicated "Channels" if the average person simply decides to purchase the bundle? This whole thing is pointless, but hey, AT&T don't make sense, it makes $$$.

I'm currently trying out the Combo bundle and so far it's a pretty good deal with a few caveats:

1. You are currently not able to connect Crunchyroll account to VRV account but feature will be available soon. It remains to be seen if reverse will be an option (being able to log in to Crunchyroll via VRV). As a result if you switch over to VRV you lose access to Manga as VRV is currently a video only platform at this time.

2. Currently selection is limited on Funimation and Crunchyroll due to license restrictions and them not porting all the videos over yet. Notable missing entries I've found are One Piece, Galaxy Express 999, Fist of the North Star, Sailor Moon Crystal, Dragon Ball (Super is on VRV), and Digimon Tri. My advice is try the 7 day free trial and see if any of your favorite shows are missing and then make your decision.

3. Xbox One app still needs some work. I had the app crash on me twice and had some buffering issues (stream stopped or dropped to lower resolution for a minute or so). Interface takes some getting used to and is a bit more difficult to navigate than native Crunchyroll app but they're trying to host multiple video sites in your watch-list so there isn't really an elegant solution unless they segregate watch-list by channel.

PS4 App is pretty buggy too. I've reached out several times about the linking of accounts-no response.
1) adding to those cons-there is no way to search for content by specific channel.
2) I don't know about Xbox1, but on PS4 there is no option to save login credentials-buzzkill
3) unlike ios app, your only option for fast-forwarding or rewinding on PS4 is to either jump back or forwards 30 seconds. who's idea was that. I don't want to watch 1/3 of an OP every episode.

just sharing thoughts-there is potential here, but the whole thing is just shy of broken as it stands now.

I'm confused about the Crunchyroll/VRV crossover myself. I started a VRV trial so I can watch Bravest Warriors and it's awesome that it bundles so many things! The problem is I feel torn between which membership I should cancel.

I might hold off on VRV until the ability to sync accounts becomes available. Yeah it's nice to have everything grouped on one video service, but I'd rather be able to sync my already existing accounts up. I feel like they'd get a lot more people on board this way. In fact...

It could be the Captain Planet of video streaming! I have Crunchyroll! My boyfriend has Seeso! My roommate has Funimation!

"With your powers combined I... AM VRV!"

Missing an amazing opportunity, guys. Think about it.

You can link the accounts, but that just means that subscribing to the Crunchyroll channel on VRV also gives you premium access on the Crunchyroll site and Crunchyroll apps and you don't have to pay separately for it. Your queue and history and such from CR will not carry over to VRV, nor will your watchlist or watching history via the VRV apps carry over to your Crunchyroll account.

Do note that if you are currently paying for Crunchyroll and you sign up for the Crunchyroll channel (or combo package) on VRV, and link your accounts it doesn't automatically cancel your Crunchyroll payments--you still need to do that on Crunchyroll to avoid being charged for both CR and VRV.

I want to be clear before I drop my CR subscription: my VRV bundle will allow me to access the CR streaming apps? Because the VRV app doesn't seem to inform me of new episodes on the series in my watchlist plus they display the on-screen controls for a couple of seconds at the beginning of a view, which is annoying. So I'd rather keep using the CR app. I don't have a great desire for the other channels on VRV, so if it's a choice between apps, I'd drop them. But if I can still use the CR app as a VRV subscriber, then I'd do that and see if they make app improvements in the future.

To answer my own question, apparently not. I tried to use my VRV credentials with the X-box One app and it would not let me log in. In fact, it only wanted my email address, not my ID. I have also verified that the VRV app will NOT notify me of new episodes in my watchlist, so it's pretty useless to me. Goodbye, VRV, I'll stick with CR.

I honestly want to love vrv. You get both funi and crunchyroll in one app along with other services. But the fact that I can't access live action drama on CR via VRV, and the fact that I can't choose the language track on funimation titles are both deal breakers for me. What if I want to watch dagashi kashi, but I want to watch it with japanese audio?
With VRV I can't do that, and they even address it in the FAQ, flat out saying that they don't support changing language tracks and say "JUST WATCH IT ON CRUNCHYROLL. Why? There are a lot of shows on funi that aren't on CR, and maybe I don't WANT to watch the dubbed version If VRV wants people to use their service, and since your parent company owns this service, you should have features that people want, and not force them to compromise.
