So apparently, VRV just stealth launched Offline Viewing today on mobile decides. I updated mine and it works well. I'm surprised there was no announcement concerning this.

I've liked my subscription for it so far but I have to say my biggest criticism is the lack of online presence when it comes to announcements and support. I find it weird how their twitter account will spam anime gifs, but not have any announcement for something big like this.

Not everyone gets to use the download access right away... Mine still only displays "share" arrows instead of the "download" ones.

Edit: I just downloaded a new update this morning, and the download arrows are there now. I started one and got a weird "Unfortunately VRV has stopped working" error, but it still continued downloading it and it played fine. Tested with airplane mode to make sure it wasn't doing direct streaming, and it seems to work just fine.

Is there any news about vrv being released in any other countries? I live in the UK and I would love to use vrv.

They mentioned in their article with Forbes that their plan is to expand to international markets in 2018.

I can't seem to find the info anywhere, could someone who uses VRV let me know if you have to pay monthly? I would prefer to pay yearly like I do with Crunchyroll.

VRV subtitles tiny on iOS screen. After last update. Also crunchyroll and Funimation needs to be grouped!

They only offer a $10 monthly subscription ATM.

That monthly sub is going to be an issue for me, then, as I pay Crunchyroll yearly, and if I link my CR account to VRV, I'm going to get double-dipped.

Don’t expect linking or respective services to offer content they’re still withholding since it doesn’t benefit them. It seems like crunchyroll is the only one really benefiting from vrv.

So, my yearly crunchyroll premium+ membership is bought, but I did not sign up for vrv premium; if I understand correctly, because I do not pay yearly to vrv for premium AND I've already paid crunchyroll in full for crunchyroll premium+, I do not gain the perks for ad-free viewing on the other channels in vrv unless I pay 9.99$ to vrv monthly (which I refuse to do and LOATHE) and not renew my crunchyroll premium+ account?

Also, sounds like services are more limited in crunchyroll IN VRV with it being linked if I should follow this migratory attempt from crunchyroll to vrv...

Someone help me understand if I will have ads on vrv with everything else but crunchyroll if I dont pay the additional 9.99 monthly to vrv.

@italianblackstallion I have an annual CR premium sub (which I will allow to auto-renew next month) and I've switched to watching almost all CR content on VRV. Yes, everything on VRV's CR channel is ad-free with a linked CR premium account.

One big exception that I still watch on CR is Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, which since it updates monthly is easier to follow on CR because VRV's queue system is cumbersome. For the same reason, I still use my CR queue to hold shows I plan to watch in the next couple of years.

Unless they've snuck something past me, Funimation doesn't support account linking with VRV.
