Well, I will skip my usual wall of text noone really reads and I came to the realisation that when I say "Masterpiece of anime I always come back to... <It will be finished at the end of the post>

When I say "The masterpiece of anime" what is the show that pops in your mind? Do not think about it too much, just tell me whaat it is, and possibly why.

As to what mine is, and I would apperciate if you read this AFTER you post yours, to avoid thinking about mine and being swayed is....

Steins;Gate is the gold standard in my mind. No show I've seen has been able to surpass it yet.

Trully? Be drunk together? Bet you are saying that just to make me write more posts full of typos and discontinued sentences, as opposed to my usual peerself writing! I mean, you missed the honeymoon.... *sob* And now you are trying to make me ruin my topic by going offtopic too. *sob* Why? why?! *sob*

*Cough* Erased is really cool tho. One of those where the 20ish minutes feels like it's over in 5 minutes and then you can be depressed about 6 days and 23 hours left untill next episode. Re:ZERO has very similar feeling at that, too.

Am I ruining it, or making it more fun?

Yes, I agree. It's the same feels, which is unsurprising given the very similar plots. They both feel original though. I love both, but I thought Erased was pretty much flawless. That's big, coming from me, the Queen of discontent.

In b4 some guy says the Master Piece is in his pants.

But srsly--it's Mushishi.

Gankutsuou was also a pretty amazing animated spectacle.

Cowboy Bebop is the best anime I've watched. It's probably also put higher up due to nostalgia from watching it as Chibi!Lio.

My favorite anime, though, is Legend of the Legendary Heroes.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Everything it does is executed so perfectly that I always take it as the standard when analyzing the story, characters and other things on new anime.

I love Cowboy Bebop but for me the episodic nature of the show made it lose potential for a more dramatic storyline. Not that the rivalry between Vicious and Spike was bad, it's incredible, but I would have loved to know a lot more about Vicious and Julia, I wasn't satisfied with the little bits of information they gave us. The music is one of the best I've heard for any TV series, even better than some movie soundtracks.

Gurren Lagann is an action masterpiece, but in terms of story and everything else, FMA Brotherhood is still superior.

Well, see, if we'll be drunk together we just produce something perceived as spam by the poor users aroundl, and will be hated. Forever. We prolly should get a room. Which is a-okay for married people.
And indeed you ruin it all... with fun! That's the worst kind.

I was a bit meh about Erased because it had few episodes than desired and the timetravel power was never explained. But that's really the only two meh points.

Code Geass is my personal masterpiece.

Otherwise I would say FMA: Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop and Gundam 08th MS Team

Darling, we could never spam. A room sounds splendid, though. Yes, I'd have preferred that Erased have a few more episodes. I'm a glutton.... but - I do think that when something is well paced though, that short is sweet. Erased left you wanting more, but didn't feel unfinished.
The time travel thing didn't bother me, because knowing how it worked woudln't have really helped anyone. I liked how helpless he was - the uncertainty. In RE:Zero, he dies and he restarts... in Erased, its random, though loosely linked to emotion...It lends a little tension, for me.
