Does anyone know how or if Crunchyroll will put their manga on e-ink displays? I lIke to read manga but tablet screens are hard on the eyes after a long period.

Hi, I've moved this over to Manga Support. Nothing has been said by Crunchy about any plans to expand devices they offer the Manga app on though.

i think any reader that runs android with access to Google Play should work.

you might want to do some research on the Onyx Boox line of e-ink readers as they use a larger screen, run android, and have app access. i personally use a Kobo H2O (which is the best ereader i own) but only for reading books and fanfiction

Huge kick incoming! I'm replying here because I was having the same question and also found this topic. I bought a new ereader to solve this issue and perhaps I can help some others to make a decision.

I can confirm that the Crunchyroll Manga app works great on the Icarus Illumina 6" (E654BK).
It's an (E-ink) ereader running on Android 4.2. (It's also compatible with the NordVPN app, but not the app from PureVPN)

I sold my old Kobo H2O reader and specifically got the Icarus one since it runs on Android 4.2 and I could use my subscription for it.
The only downside is that the Crunchyroll app has almost no settings, the Icarus tablet has physical buttons for turning pages, but I can't map them to work with the Crunchyroll app. Also the screen is a bit smaller than my previous Kobo, but I haven't had any issues yet reading text in comics. (Note: I don't read books, only Comics/Manga)

It'll probably work on other Android based Ereaders as well, as long as you'll get one running Android 4.0 or higher and it should have access to the Google Play Store (Some readers don't have this, like older Icarus models)
